A real life story
Death is something that comes whenever we don't expect it and we don't expect it even as we know that we will surely die someday. We need to be always ready for death spiritually and what I mean is that we should always be righteous and keep on doing good deeds.
There's someone I never expected to die young, that died last week Saturday in the morning. He's an altar server in the catholic church and he's also the Diocesan Sacristan of Portharcourt diocese here in Nigeria.
This young man known as Bro. Modestus is a very devoted catholic, he's always active when it comes to things about the church. I admire his passion for the church alot and sometimes I wonder why he doesn't want to be a reverend father because he has the qualities.
Ok on Saturday night I was in the Diocesan altar servers platform on WhatsApp when someone dropped the breaking news and we couldn't believe it, we were so shocked. We tried our best to confirm from the right source immediately and we discovered it was true. What a sad truth.
One thing that made us more surprised was the fact that we received his message in the platform the previous day. That was last week Friday by 12pm and he never knew his time was near but most of us didn't know he was sick.
Sickness was what killed him and he died in a teaching hospital in Portharcourt on Saturday morning. Someone who was alive yesterday afternoon is dead today morning I feel so pained each time altar servers die prematurely. We deserve to live long somehow even though not everyone is guaranteed long life.
Anyway he's more than 30 years old and I know things hasn't been easy for him, by now he's supposed to be a married man with children. There are so many Nigerian youths who are still single till today. Things aren't easy for them especially when their parents are pressuring them to get married.
Today is the burial ceremony of this young man and may his soul rest in peace. We will really miss him and we will always remember his teachings and lifestyle. Life is a mystery, everyone get yourself ready for the journey to the other side of life by avoiding sins so that you can make heaven.

Oh wow you seriously posted about it, that's impressive bro, I was also shocked when I heard about his death. Like the young man dropped a message that Friday afternoon and I was surprised he died the next day in the morning, anyway such is life.
I was so sad as well because I know he must have made plans for his life and now he's no longer alive. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
He was buried exactly the day you created this post bro, I will also talk about his burial ceremony either this week or next week because I have alot of pictures that were taken that day.
