Drawing Of "Pug Dog"

Today I will like to present my sketch or drawing of pug dog a lovely pet 🐶 to live with. A Pug is a popular toy dog breed known for its distinctive flat, wrinkled face, curly tail, and charming, sociable personality. Originally from China, they were cherished as companion animals by emperors and royalty and are known for packing "a lot in a little" body (the breed's motto, multum in parvo).

Pugs are compact, squarely built, and muscular dogs. They typically weigh between 14 and 18 pounds and stand 10 to 13 inches tall. Their short, glossy coat comes in colors like fawn, silver, apricot, or all black, often with a black face mask and a dark trace along the back.
Pugs are affectionate, playful, and even-tempered companions that thrive on human interaction. They are often called "shadows" because they love to follow their owners around and be included in all activities. They generally get along well with children and other pets, making them excellent family dogs. Hope you will like my few steps of sketching this beautiful pet.🤓

My Steps Of Procedure
Through out my sketch I was using only 3b pencil.

•step 1.
I started the drawing with the two large eyes of the dog, then I drew some wrinkles beside the dog's eyes.

•step 2.
Here I began to draw the dog flat face and floppy cheeks. I also drew two curve lines for the dog's mouth.

•step 3.
Here I drew the flat nose of the dog, then went down for the body.

•step 4.
Here I drew the shape of the dog's face, and the two folded over ears, resting close to the dog's head. I also drew the dog's body, shading some part.

•step 5.
Here I began the shading process, by shading the the dark space in the nose and mouth, then I began to make the fur on the dog's chin or loose skin. I also drew it's flews and whiskers.

•step 6.
Here I make the fur on the dog's body using shading technique to make it look wrinkled like that of a pug dog.

•step 7.
Here is the final result: making the dog look realistic, I was focusing on the texture of the fur and the definition of the facial features through careful layering and contrast. I also darken the pupil of the dog eyes.

•step 8.
When my drawing was done, I then wrote my user name @michael60 and the name of my drawing pug dog to verify my drawing.

In essence, it was a nice thing having time to draw this portrait of a pug dog.
