A Simple Tuesday Breakfast That Warmed the Soul

On Tuesday, we kept breakfast humble and hearty—boiled chana and peanuts. Nothing fancy, just protein-packed goodness simmered with a pinch of salt and love. Warm, comforting, and ready in minutes, this no-frills meal fueled our morning with quiet satisfaction.

No appliances, no mess—just nourishment in its purest form. In a world that’s always rushing, this simple combo reminded us that goodness doesn’t need grandeur. Sometimes, the most ordinary meals bring the greatest joy. Tuesday’s breakfast was a gentle nudge to appreciate simplicity—one boiled bite at a time.

Wednesday’s Lunch: Chole Bhature Comfort 🌮

Nothing beats a steaming plate of chole bhature at lunch! The crispy bhature puffs, soaked in spicy, tangy chickpea curry — pure joy! 🧡 We dined on a homemade recipe passed down from Grandma. The cumin and garam masala in the chole? Perfection! Pair it with a mint-coriander chutney, and you’re in heaven. 😋

Every bite felt like a hug for the soul. Though after finishing two plates, I definitely hit that “Indian meal belly”… but 100% worth it. 🤤 Comfort food at its finest! What’s your go-to lunch comfort meal?

A Simple Thursday Delight: Fried Salmon for Dinner

Thursday nights deserve a touch of warmth. This week, we chose salmon—crispy on the outside, tender within. Golden-brown skin sizzled in a hot pan, infused with garlic, dill, and a squeeze of lemon. The aroma whiffed through the kitchen, promising comfort.

Seated at the table, we savored each bite: flaky flesh melted in our mouths, paired with roasted vegetables and a tangy dill sauce. No fuss, just flavor. Salmon’s rich taste, balanced by brightness, felt celebratory. It reminded us how simple meals can spark joy.

Fried salmon isn’t just food—it’s a cozy ritual, a reminder to pause and relish the ordinary. Thursday’s dinner was a quiet victory, a harmony of taste and togetherness. Let’s have more moments like that.

A Perfect Friday Evening: Kachori and Tea at the Bakery

This Friday, we unwound with warm, crispy bakery kachoris and a pot of fragrant tea. The golden, flaky shells gave way to spicy, lentil-rich filling—a perfect blend of crunch and comfort. Sipped slowly, the tea’s earthy notes balanced the kachoris’ bold flavors, creating a harmonious dance of taste.

As the evening sun painted the sky amber, we savored each bite, laughter mingling with the aroma of cardamom and freshly brewed leaves. Simple joys like these—food, warmth, and shared moments—remind us how life’s little pleasures can turn an ordinary day extraordinary.

Saturday Night Feast: A Simple, Satisfying Dinner

We enjoyed dinner with rice, dal, sabudana tikki and omelet on Saturday. The rice was steaming, soft, and lightly scented with a pinch of cumin.

The dal—yellow lentils simmered with turmeric, ginger, and a dash of mustard seeds—was smooth and soothing. Crispy sabudana tikki added a subtle crunch, flavored with green chilies, coriander, and a squeeze of lemon.

The omelet was fluffy, speckled with onions and tomatoes, and seasoned with black pepper. Together they made a simple, balanced meal that left us full, happy, and grateful for the quiet night.
