Wednesday – I spy with my little eye – Mini contest (94)
Hello SteemKids and Parents!
I don’t know about your side of the world, but here in sunny South Africa, it is Workers Day, a national holiday. I wonder why we only have one of them a year. There should be one on the first day of every fourth month. Would that not be nice?
It is not a holiday on Steemit, so here I am with this week’s game.
Before we start, let’s take a look at last week’s clues.
1. It is an 11-letter word starting with “S’’
2. Legendary
3. Beyond ordinary
4. Selfless
The correct word is SUPERHEROES!
I saw the “super” words come up in your answers, and I thought, okay, someone is going to get it right, but that was not the case. There was not a winner.

One thing I do know this week is that you all know the meaning of the word "Superheroes,” so let me share some fun facts with you.
- The creator of Wonder Woman also created the first lie detector test. William Moulton Marston was a con artist and one creative guy. He came up with the idea for the first lie detector test, by guessing that people's blood pressure changed when they lied.
- Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, is named after two real people. His first namesake is Robert the Bruce, who was King of Scots from 1309 to 1329. Robert the Bruce was a fierce warrior and is a national hero in Scotland.
- Captain America was created during World War II. He was created in response to the war - an image of an American super soldier who could defeat all evil.
- According to the Guinness Book of World Records, 'created by Lee Falk (USA), the first superhero was The Phantom, who debuted in his own newspaper comic strip on 17 Feb 1936.”
- Superman, who first appeared in comic books in 1938, was the first superhero created with super powers.
As there is no winner last week there will be 4 STEEM up for grabs this week.
Time for your next game!
The game is exactly like last week;
The game “I spy with my little eye” is sort of a detective game. The “spy” is the person who sees something, and the rest of the players must then guess what the spy is seeing.
Of importance, it must be something that you can see and not something you can feel, like an emotion.
BUT, “I spy with my little eye” is so much more than just a spy game;
- It is a thinking game
- It teaches you how to use your logic and reasoning and
- It grows your vocabulary
The contest
For today, I am going to give you the letter with which the word starts plus 4 points, or “clues,” that you can take into consideration to figure out what the word can be.
Ready or not… let’s learn, play, and win!
I spy with my little eye something that begins with the letter “W"
1. It is an 11-letter word
2. It is an adjective
3. It is a behaviour
4. Can have bad consequences if it continues
