My name is Richmond Godwin I am from a state that is located in southern part of Nigeria called Akwa ibom state. I am 19 years old, average in height and chocolate in complexion in a loving family of 5...

Have been on steemit for a period of 8months and through out this period steemit has changed me positively and has even enhanced my skills as an artist....

Have learnt alot of things from steemit especially making realistic pencil portrait and painting to, I really love drawing cause it make me happy and it brings me alot of joy cause since I started making realistic portraits have been putting smiles on alot of my clients faces...

Below here are most of the materials I used when drawing a realistic pencil portrait....

Materials
Paper : Alabaster paper
Pencils : charcoal pencil and charcoal powder
Eraser : Tombo mono zero
Duration: 2 days

I Want to teach you guys how to create and draw a realistic pencil portrait of your own...

  1. I got a white alabaster paper then drew my grid lines and made my sketch, well I would advise you guys to get a normal cardboard paper since most of you are newbie's in this aspect then use a hb pencil and grid your lines with a ruler after that you make a light sketch of what you want to draw... then you start shading it gradually....

  2. I started shading his eyes at first, then I moved gently to his nose, so you all can do the same... I actually took my time to shade this portrait tho buh I made sure nothing was left out.. detailing his face was very tough tho, so when doing yours you have to be extra careful to avoid mistakes...

  3. so I just used my mono eraser but since you don't have a mono zero eraser you could use a normal erase and detail what ever your drawing.. I detailed his face carefully then I use my pencil and brought out some highlights tho..I really wanted it to look realistic so it will wow my client... So when doing yours you don't have to rush it, you just take your time and go with the flows...

This are the progress shoot i took making the realistic pencil portrait..

Please try removing #steemalive and let steemkids be. Try placing #art as your first tag, #steemexclusive as second, club status as third, and #nigeria as fourth before other tags so as to get support from curators. The way we use tags and how we place them determines support from the higher..
