Pictures tell a thousand stories-Wk36
Hello..!!
My Dear Friends,
I am @tanvirahammad10 from #Bangladesh 🇧🇩
The morning college was decorated with festive colors today. A crowd of students surrounded the field, some with posters in their hands, some with slogans on their faces. As soon as the running competition was announced, a strange thrill woke up in my chest. I stood at the starting line and looked at the sky and told myself, I will pour all my strength today.
The race began as soon as I heard the whistle. My feet were running, my breathing was getting heavy, yet only the finish line was in front of my eyes. The insistence on the faces of my friends running next to me, the shouts coming from outside the field were forcing me to run even harder. It seemed that if I couldn't do it today, I would never do it again.
Just then, an unexpected event happened. Maybe a small bump in the ground, maybe a moment of carelessness, my foot slipped. I lost my balance and fell to the ground. My mind also crashed along with my body. Pain in my knees, burning in my elbows, and a sense of disappointment in my heart. The sounds around me faded away and only my own breathing was ringing in my ears.
While lying on the ground, I saw my friend standing a little distance away with a camera in his hand. There was no pity in his eyes, but a strange determination that gave courage. At that moment, the camera clicked. That scene of falling, the dust-covered body, the stubbornness in the corners of his eyes. Everything was captured in a picture.
I stood up. It was painful, but I am not the kind of person to give up. The race may not be for winning anymore, but for my own honor. I started running again, albeit slowly. Clapping came from all around, some calling out my name. At that moment, I understood. Victory is not only about being first, but also about fighting with yourself.
After finishing the race, when I was standing on one side of the field, my friend handed me the camera. I stopped when I saw the picture. There I was lying, but not defeated. There was a determination in my eyes to stand up. The picture seemed to tell me, this one moment will tell many stories of your life.
Today, that picture is not just a memory of the college race for me. It teaches me that everyone falls one day or another in the race of life. But those who stand up are the real runners.
Thank you very much for reading my post, let me know how you liked it in the comments. Thanks again everyone, stay well.
Best Regards
