Writing Expedition — Family bond 💕

Today being the first Sunday in the month of June has been a remarkable one for us , The Andrew's family home and astray😂.
We set out today to celebrate the togetherness and love between us all .

Uyo, being where most of reside was chosen to be the place of our meeting. This came unexpected,as we only wanted to celebrate a family members postponed birthday. Aunty Foni .
But we however decided to do a little family bond amongst members of the family who were in Uyo.

At first after church service, I , my aunt and her close friend, her daughter (my cousin) and my other big cousin (Sasha ) went to our big aunt's place because she invited us for lunch.
My cousin Sasha and my Aunt Foni do not attend the same church. So after service, I had to go to thier church and find them

I wanted to surprise them, so I didn't bother calling to know thier way about. And also I do go there for programs, I attended the same church with them for about ten years before the current one. So I know my way about the the church.

When I got to the church premises, I saw my cousin Sasha taking pictures outside. Not surprised though, cos that's kind of our thing most Sundays 🤣.

We waited for Aunt Foni to be done cleaning church cos she's in the sanctuary department. And after that we payed our way to and eatery 300 meters away from the church to meet the others.
Aunt Foni didn't know we had a little surprise waiting for her.
Not until she saw "Happy birthday Foni" written on the cake at the center of the table where everyone was seated. See started smiling in amazement.

We sang happy birthday for her, Said our wish and prayed for her , then she finally cut the cake. We ate rice along side the cake, drank and shared a lot of happy moments and jokes, thanks to me.

And then the part two, Family bond. This was not really long.
As we all listened to everyone give the stories of how thier life has been, if they were doing well or not, if they needed help and so on.
Turns out I was the only one needing all the help and support. Spiritual o, financial o, academical oo.....Muna hep me ehhhhhhh🤧🤣.

After lots of gist and talking, our small meetup came to an end.
We all went to our various destinations.
And this is me reporting immediately, almost immediately after the event.😁
