A bag for my eldest Child
Hello everyone! I'm so glad to spend another day with you all and I hope that God gives us His grace and mercy always.
So here I am, sharing with you the bag that I was making for my eldest child. Crocheting around bores me a lot so I chose to make it with granny squares, this way, I feel like my project will finish easily and fast because I make each square and finish them one by one.
I was making it in my workplace every time I have a vacant time, I always do my work and start early so that I will have more time to do so, but there are lots of disturbances, really and all I can do is leave my project and get the work done because it is what I was paid for.
This is the last picture that I took from my phone, the bag now was nearly done but I was to able to take pictures recently. This picture below was taken on August 13th, already made a lot of squares and connected them all.
Here are my progress:
August 9
This was the planning stage, I was even having second thoughts about if I should've done it or not or what to do, I was having problems with color combinations since I was only using my scrap yarns to do the bag.
August 10
on the second day, I made 4 squares, and I asked my husband if he liked the color combination and he said yes and I was encouraged to continue what I have been planning. Then, my co-worker who left his work to me because he went to the city to do a task, he consoled me with this yogurt which tasted so good.
In the afternoon, I was bored and the artist inside me kicked in and I was able to draw a face. It's been a while since I last have drawn a face, I was discouraged because I felt like I did not have improved but it turns out I cannot leave the things that I love.
And this is my progress on August 13.
The base was made of three granny squares and the wall was made of 8 squares in four rows and two rows for the flap. I also made some holes for pouches too! I was pretty much satisfied with my work but the problem now is the lining; I don't have much experience in making the lining so I guess I will be stuck on that part.
You know, when I was planning on doing something but am not sure how to do it yet, I cannot stop thinking about how to do it and think of it a lot before sleep and even dream about it. Does this happen to you too? or it's just me overthinking things a lot?
I wish I will have the time to finish it someday soon, and show it all to you, Classes have started already and my sister bought my kids a new bag so I think I will be the one to use that bag instead.
This would be all for now, I hope to keep in touch with you all keep safe and stay kind always
