Stictoleptura cordigera, the centerpiece of the insect photographs I have collected, is truly a unique creation of nature. Its relatively long body, fine structure and long antennae make it easily recognizable.

As can be seen in the picture, the brown and light reddish hue of the insect's body while sitting on the green fruit or young pod creates a nice contrast with the surrounding green.
