A king announced that a prize would be given to the person who could tell the biggest lie. A man came and said, "Your Majesty, your father borrowed 100 gold crowns from my father." The king understood that if he lied, he would be rewarded, and if he told the truth, he would have to return the crown.

The king considered him intelligent and rewarded him.
