The Diary Game [16/08/2026] // It Was Such a Small Thing
I woke up craving something I hadn't eaten in years.
You know that kind of craving that doesn't just say “I'm hungry” but practically starts showing you the food in your imagination? 😂
The problem was, I didn't have the strength to cook.
So I did what any tired person would do...
I ignored the craving. I made myself tea instead and told myself, “It's fine. I'll eat later.”
Well... later came, and the craving was still there.
I tried to overlook it again, but somehow it became harder and harder to ignore. At that point, I realized I wasn't going to be satisfied with tea. My body had already made its decision. 😂
So eventually, I got the food. And honestly?
Look at that plate 😍😘
It wasn't anything fancy. Just a simple plate of rice with some fried goodness on the side. Nothing expensive, nothing extraordinary, nothing that would make the news.
But the moment I finally sat down to eat, my mood changed.
They say happiness comes in many forms, in laughter, in sunshine, and after surviving heavy storms.
But today, mine came quietly on a plate, looking so good I simply couldn't wait. 😂 Nothing extraordinary, nothing brand new, Just food I enjoyed and a mood that improved.
Maybe that's the secret we often forget: life doesn't always have to give us something big to make a day feel good.
Sometimes it's a meal you've been craving. Sometimes it's a random message. Sometimes it's your favourite song coming on at exactly the right moment. Sometimes it's a compliment from a random stranger. And sometimes, it's simply having enough energy to finally give yourself the little thing you've been wanting.
Today, that little thing was food.
And honestly, I'm not complaining. 😂❤️
