The one who was always there: Episode 2
“Good day everyone!
😂 If you’ve ever said ‘I know what I’m doing’ and life later corrected you, welcome home.” ⭐
Let's learn more from Ada's life story...
Episode “1” one end bit
Ada felt irritated. To her, it sounded like control.
“I know what I’m doing,” she replied.
She chose Sadiq 💔...
Ada’s life began to change fast.
Sadiq loved showing her off. New clothes, new phone, weekend outings. People started noticing her, greeting her with more respect. For the first time, Ada felt seen. She felt important.
But something felt strange.
Sadiq was always busy. His calls became shorter. His promises were many, but his presence was few.
When Ada complained, he laughed it off.
“Relax, babe. I’m hustling for our future,” he would say.
She believed him. Or maybe she wanted to.
Meanwhile, Emeka was learning how to live without her.
He stopped passing by her street. He stopped calling. But at night, when the world was quiet, memories visited him like unpaid debts. He remembered her laughter, her fears, the way she trusted him with her broken parts. He prayed for her happiness, even when it hurt.
One evening, Ada fell sick. Not serious, but enough to scare her. She called Sadiq. The call didn’t connect. She sent messages. No reply.
She tried again. Still nothing.
For the first time, fear replaced excitement.
Her mother noticed her silence and weakness. She brought her warm food and sat beside her.
“You haven’t eaten,” she said softly.
Ada nodded, tears filling her eyes without warning.
That night, Emeka sent a simple message after weeks of silence:
“I hope you’re okay.”
Ada stared at the screen for a long time. That one sentence felt heavier than all of Sadiq’s sweet talks.
She didn’t reply.
Days passed.
Sadiq showed up again like nothing happened, full of stories and excuses. Ada smiled, but something inside her had cracked. She started noticing things she ignored before, the impatience, the pride, the way he listened only to respond, not to understand.
For the first time, Ada felt lonely inside a relationship.
And somewhere in her heart, a quiet question began to grow:
Did I trade peace for noise?
