This morning, I tried enjoying a cup of warm coffee with milk to start my day, despite the unfriendly weather outside. It had been raining nonstop for several days, making our village feel gloomy and desolate. The usually calming aroma of coffee felt different when I saw puddles of rain.

Floodwaters have begun to envelop our village. Yards, village roads, and even some residents' homes are now inundated. This situation has brought daily activities to a standstill. Children can't play outside, parents can't go to work, and small businesses have also come to a standstill due to the poor road access.

The local economy has been severely impacted. Daily workers, including myself, have lost their income, vendors can't open their stalls, and residents who rely on small businesses from home must wait until the water recedes. There's nothing we can do but support each other, hoping the rain will subside soon and things will return to normal.

Nevertheless, enjoying a warm cup of coffee with milk in the morning remains a simple comfort. While it can't change the situation, it at least provides a small sense of calm amidst the anxiety of seeing our village submerged in floodwaters. Over a cup of coffee, I've learned to remain patient and grateful despite the difficult circumstances.

Hopefully, the weather will clear soon, the waters will recede quickly, and our villagers can return to their normal activities. This flood is a reminder that the rain and storms will pass, and life will return to normal.
