Reading your post reveals in you a personality of passion who lives to fulfill everyday to the Glory of God as much as it depends on you.
Some teachers would have celebrated not the moment students left, but it it rather became a concern to you because you know that you are raising a future generation.
Sometimes it happens the way it if the school is a private one that the owner can just wake up and take decisions without considering the masses or the psychological consequences of such.
Every good teacher know the implications of not completing scheme of work for the term before examination time.

Thank you for the encouragement, the worst thing is that is that it a government.Normally we were supposed to informed that there will be fees drive today .One can take time to know how to adjust my program .Its funny those who are happy there is no school because doesn’t know the implication of that to their teaching .We follow the profession sheet and scheme of work to teacher .Once you missed a day just like you will need to organised class to catch up .
