TARRYING THROUGH THE NIGHT AND TALENTS DISCOVERY

Good morning, fellow Steemians. It's been a while since I tarried in a church program. From about 10 am. yesterday, I was invited to a youth revival night in a rural community. The arm of the church, known as the Presbyterian Young People's Association of Nigeria (PYPAN), decided to visit the rural area and fellowship with them. Due to the distance from other places, they decided it to be an “All Night” event.

I was happy to be part of those taking the gospel to the people who are not in the town. It was another experience that could not be told sufficiently unless one was present. They were allowed to use their native dialect and worship God. Where an interpreter was needed, it was possible to have the pastor of the church do so.

Everything was done in the youth way. High praise for making people dance and learning new dancing steps from the people there. Moment of prayer session well handled in their dialect. I saw how people prayed and deep groaning in spirit.

A part from the message that was tagged “Accelerate with Grace” drawn from 2 Tim. 2:1. While the preacher charged young people just like Paul did to Timothy to be strong in the face of challenges and succeed, the sword drill in which different people represented their churches stood out to be the fastest reader. Immediately, a portion of the bible was mentioned.

The choir sang and blessed our lives. It is good to sometimes remember those in the rural church and go there to motivate them.

Personally, I discovered a few of them with raw talent in the music ministry, which I picked one of them to sponsor his recording of a song composed by him. He sang the song in church, and my heart went for it that others needed to hear such lyrics and beautiful voice. @bossj23 will definitely love to see this guy with raw talent. At least we can support them to be visible from where they are.

The revival blessed us with strong prophetic declarations leading to benediction at 4:am. Many people slept off even at the point of prayers, yea! Sleeping time is nature and a call we must obey. But those who were able to tarry were in small percentage.

I would love to visit the youths again and see how I can be of help to their potential.
