Hello Recreative Steem friends,

On this World Book Day, I stumbled upon your contest, and I thought to myself, why not participate? To be honest, I'm not a super bookworm, but I always try to find unique books that might interest me, especially with an eye toward a potential upcoming trip.

So, today, as I join this contest, I'll start by answering your questions.

Tell us about that book you read that changed your life.

Just yesterday, I finished reading this beautiful book about Japan. Those who follow me here on Steemit know how passionate I am about this country and how strong my desire is to visit Japan. But this particular book, which I found randomly at a used book market, really caught my interest. It's a book that was published in 1971 by Mondadori.

It's called "Giappone," with text by Adolfo Tamburello.

I really liked this book because, besides telling the history of Japan, it introduced me to many monuments, including beautiful temples and even various imperial villas in Japan. Probably because it was published in the 1970s, when tourism was almost nonexistent, at least for us Westerners in Japan, it discusses some places that I think are still relatively unexplored by tourists today.

What is your favorite literary genre and author? Share the reasons.

Well, as you can guess, my favorite books are those that focus on history, perhaps of countries I don't know much about, or those that discuss monuments around the world. Generally, books that are somehow connected to travel and tourism.

Sometimes, I also get interested in reading travel guides, especially about countries I haven't visited yet. This is also because, when I eventually travel to these countries, I’ll be ready in terms of tourist knowledge and history to fully appreciate the experience.

If you had the opportunity to write a book, what would it be about?

Given my passion for history, art, and historical monuments in general, I'd definitely like to write a book about little-known places in Italy.

For example, we Italians often don't realize that Italy has a vast cultural heritage, with some works of art locked away in archives because there's not enough space to display them. Moreover, there are historic sites, churches, and other places that are underappreciated. If I had the opportunity, I'd write a book to promote these hidden gems and share the stories behind them.

Recommend a book to your readers on Steemit.

I’d recommend "The Great Book of Explorations," published by Vallardi. I don't know if it's available in all languages; I found it in Italian at a used book market. It recounts all the great explorations in history, from the Hellenic and Roman Empires to the early explorations of the East, like the Silk Road, and even the most recent explorations, both in space and in places like Antarctica.

Since it's a used book, it’s not very updated. However, I think these older books are better than the recent ones because they are much more detailed in both writing style and storytelling.

Thank you for reading my post. I hope you found it interesting. It's wonderful to celebrate World Book Day with the whole community because books, I believe, are a very important part of our world.

Goodbye, everyone, and see you soon!

Hello dear, I wish to you to be in peace and living their best moments of life.

First of all, I will pray to God for you that you should visit Japan as soon as possible,

After that I would like to say here that perhaps you know little about you because you told that you are not fond of reading, but I read in your own post that you buy old books in the book market which were much better , the books of that time, so it means that you are not fond of reading any ordinary book, but you are fond of reading very special good books.

Best of luck , may you achieve wealth , health , success and prosperity in your life Greetings from my side . Have a nice day .

You recommend "The Great Book of Explorations" for those interested in the history of exploration. Books play a vital role in our world, and it's wonderful to celebrate World Book Day together. Thank you for the opportunity.

@hotspotitaly
Your presentation is very good, I am very happy to know your opinion, the books are really good, you have given the explanation in it, about books, books play a very important role in changing life. I should benefit from them, not that we should not have a religious point of view, and the book you recommended, I would definitely like to read it and benefit from it, because really, the way you have written in it. Its aspects have been told, it is worth reading and knowledge is the end of knowledge and should be acquired wherever it is found.
