School Based Feeding to Malnourished Pupils

It's been a week since we had go back to normal class days after an earthquake and typhoon hit our place consecutively. Also, the school operations are going back to normal, one of this benefit that the children enjoys is the feeding program.

As a grade 1 Teacher, we were task in the beginning of the school year to get each pupils BMI and record it manually. The system will show us who are qualified in the feeding, those pupils who are malnourished. Before the long suspension of face to face, there was a regular distribution of feeding, and it resume today.

For today's feeding, there were many foods for each pupils. I have 11 malnourished pupils and they will receive each;

• 7 packs of iron rice
• Champorado
• Malungay curls
• Biscuits
• Juice pack
• Cookies
• 1 pack of bread

The pupils were delighted and happy because they received bundles of foods. I told them to eat well because they are expected to gain weight at the end of the school year.

I documented the distribution with my 11 pupils. They were all happy because of what they recieved. In their little eyes, they know how to be grateful even in small things. The program definitely an initiative to lessen the problem in malnutrition. Day by day, there is a delivery in feeding room and somewhat it encourages the pupils to go to school everyday.
