This school year, Matheena belongs to an FL class. FL class meaning, she passed the screening (interview and entrance exam) before the classes started. Among the 100 applicants, only 35 of them was chosen to be part of the FL class. We call it before as STAR SECTION.

And next school year, they will be screened again and the first 35 students will belong to the SPECIAL SCIENCE CLASS. If you belong to special science class, you are more advanced than those who belong to the regular class. So, last friday we parents who passed the application form for our kids were called for an orientation.

✨ALL ABOUT THE ORIENTATION✨

The attendees of the orientation as I've said were the parents of tge applicants for SSC Class. Most of the parents of the applicants who applied for SSC Class camr from FL Class. A fee came from Pilot Class and there were also parents whose kids came from a Private School.

During the orientation we were informed what might be happening if your students will belong to Special Science Class. We were informed that SSC has more subjects than the regular class so they will not have a half day class anymore but a whole day class. Aside from that, we were informed that most of the contestants will be taken from their class. And we parents were encouraged to support our kids to any activities or performance task they will have in school.

They also gave us the schedule for the screening. In which on wednesday, it would be the interview and oral reading. So, we were tasked to practice the kids to answer simple questions in english and motivate them to be confident and will not be afraid during the session.

Then on May 2 is their Multiple Intelligence or the talent showcase. So, they had to show their talent. Not just show them but they had to portray it to the highest level by wearing some costumes and had to bring all the materials needed. And take note, it is 30% of their rating.

As of the moment, there were 65 applicants and only 35 of them has the chance to be in SSC. Matheena is the youngest of them all, and I am not sure if she will be accepted because of his age but I will still try. Anyway, if she will not be chosen she will automatically go to the Pilot class which is way better than regular class.

I am always hoping for the best. Whatever it is, His will be done. I know Matheena is competitive and can compete with her Ate and Kuya...
