The diary game: [23/06/2026] NGO work day.

Hi beautiful people, How are you all doing? Today is a beautiful day to be alive, right?

I pray the remaining hours of the day bring us more joy and happiness.

Today is a day I will never forget. Yeah, it is.
Just get popcorn and relax I will wow your mind. Honestly, I saw a lot today and it got me thinking about life, women’s experiences, motherhood, and childbirth. To be honest, we men are lucky to be men. If you go to the hospital and see what women go through with menstrual pains, miscarriage, abortion, childbirth… all these are women-only experiences. At least 2 out of 4 must be experienced by every woman. Imagine one person experiencing all 4 that’s crazy, honestly. We need to give more credit to our women out there. They are honestly doing a lot just because they are women.

Before I continue. I had my breakfast in a restaurant because I couldn’t cook that early and I didn’t have leftover food. I was late already to where I was going, so I decided to get something on my way. I had spaghetti and stew with chilled water before proceeding.

Spaghetti for breakfast.

Today isn’t Women’s Day, but I’ll still wish every virtuous woman out there a happy Women’s Day. God bless you for all you go through.

So today I went to the hospital for a medical visit. I started partnering with an NGO that cares about women and children, so we visit hospitals and render support.
Today we visited River J Hospital here in Plateau State, and the experience was wow. I think I love this it has given me a new perspective on life.

We had a case of a woman with complications from an abortion. The medicine she used didn’t work properly, so it caused a lot of pain. She reported to our NGO and cried about lack of funds and no one to assist. We booked an urgent appointment with a doctor, and this morning was the date. The doctor didn’t waste time he attended to her immediately.

I was asked to go in since I’m one of the trained volunteers for the NGO. I stood in to support, not knowing the experience would stay with me all day. After examination, the doctor said the pregnancy wasn’t viable and needed immediate medical attention. An emergency procedure was carried out. I couldn’t blink. They asked if it was okay for me to stay since I was one of the people that brought her, and she said yes.

What was brought out of her body.

After a few minutes it was done. Nurses cleaned her up while I left with the doctor to do paperwork. You see, some men put ladies in danger and it’s not healthy. According to her report, she got pregnant for a guy she dated for 2 years. When she got pregnant, the guy denied responsibility and told her to “go find who did it.” She insisted she hadn’t cheated. The guy refused to be seen with her, which pushed her into the decision for abortion because she felt she couldn’t handle pregnancy and childbirth alone.

It was a secret until it didn’t go as planned. She’s in school and her parents weren’t aware until today. Our NGO policy requires parental/relative awareness, which she had to agree to since she had no other option. Her parents were disappointed but now they’re aware.

It ended with more tests and drugs given to her. My NGO sponsored everything, which I signed for on their behalf. After that, a bed and a care nurse were provided to monitor her till she’s fully okay.

Drugs.

I finished and headed home with my colleagues. On our way, we decided to get drinks to clear our heads from such a heavy story. We hung out, had some juice, and it was beautiful. Time off work is always beautiful lol.

Chilling.

After that I went home, took my bath, and didn’t tell you I got dinner on my way home. So here I am having dinner and planning to sleep early. There’s work tomorrow.

Dinner.

Good night, people. Don’t forget to be responsible. Don’t go around getting people pregnant if you can’t care for them it’s not good as a man. Then ladies, be careful out there. Your life matters. Always remember to speak up when you’re down. Don’t suffer alone. Life is too precious to play with.

Don’t forget to drink enough water and have enough rest.

Any day above ground level is a good day.
