Hello everyone
Good day to you all, I hope your weekend is going well and you’ve had time to rest a bit… because as for me, today didn’t really give me that chance

My day actually started on a good note.
I woke up, got myself together and went straight into cleaning the house. You know that kind of cleaning where you’re already planning your reward in your head like, “once I’m done, I’ll just eat and relax”

I was already rounding up and thinking about breakfast when I suddenly heard that we had to go out and pick up palm oil that was sent from Akwa Ibom to Abuja.
Just like that, plan changed

I quickly squeezed in something small to eat—not even proper breakfast—but at least it was better than stepping out on an empty stomach.
We got into the car and started heading to the park where the oil was sent to…

At first, everything looked normal. But very soon, Google Maps started misbehaving
Redirecting us…
Taking us through longer routes…
Confusing us small small.

At some point, I was just laughing because it started to feel like we were going on a tour of Abuja instead of going to one place
After all the movement, we finally found the park.

Relief… right?
Nope

The person we were supposed to meet wasn’t even there. We were told he was in another building, so we had to enter the car again, drive around, turn, ask questions, and look for another place.
At that point, the stress was already complete.
But eventually, we found him and got what we came for.

Honestly, I just thanked God for journey mercies, because what was supposed to be simple turned into a full outing.
We got back home and I was already thinking I would finally rest small…
But nah, it was Saturday
And in this house, Saturday means work must be done.

Next thing, we were in the kitchen preparing food for the week. Beans first…
Then soup preparation started. Washing vegetables, cutting okro… everything back to back.

But this time, at least everyone was around, so it wasn’t one person carrying everything. And that’s one thing I really noticed today—when everyone helps out, work becomes lighter and even a bit more enjoyable.
After all the stress, it was finally time to eat… and I didn’t waste time at all

I bought correct fufu and enjoyed the soup properly. That moment alone made everything worth it
After eating, I just lay down to “rest small”… next thing I knew, I woke up and it was already dark

Evening was calm though. Since it was Saturday, everyone was around, so we just stayed, talked, laughed and gisted. That kind of simple family moment you don’t even plan, but it ends up being one of the best parts of the day.
Later at night, I decided to make something light for dinner. Bread, egg, and milk.

Nothing too complicated. I just broke the eggs, added pepper, salt, onions and Maggi, mixed everything, then used it to coat the bread and fried it.

There was no sliced bread, so I had to improvise and cut it my own way but it still came out nice.
Added cold milk to it, and that was dinner sorted. Simple and satisfying.

After that, I just relaxed, watched a movie, and now I’m here sharing my day with you all.
Looking back, today was stressful no doubt… but it also reminded me of something important.

Doing things alone can be tiring, but when family is involved—whether it’s going out, cooking, or just sitting together later—it makes everything feel easier and more meaningful.

Now I’m about to finally rest properly
