The Diary Game: [29/06/2026]. Cooking, Work And Meeting My Beautiful Godson

Good day Steem Fam, welcome to another episode of a day in my life. Today was eventful and I hope you all enjoy this episode.

My fit for today. I made the top and pants.

Mondays are not my best days because I'm always wishing my weekends get an extension. I woke up this morning but remained in bed, just feeling lazy and pressing my phone. At around 7:30 am, I got out of bed and made my bed. Then, I brushed my teeth, showered and began preparing for work. I had a heavy breakfast this morning-beans prepared by my sister. I'm not really a fan of beans so I paired mine with noodles and egg and had it to full. I dressed up in black pants and a red fitted top all tailored by me. I took a few pictures with my sister and headed to my shop.

I got to my shop around 9:40 am, I got there late and apologised to my students who were already waiting for me. Next, they submitted their assignments and after vetting them, I approved of them to get their fabrics to start practicals. They were so excited even though they earlier complained about finances. A few who had their money ready left to the market to get fabrics while those who didn't have postponed for tomorrow.

As I made way to my seat, I got a call from my friend who just put to bed. I was so happy and excited that I screamed for joy. I was really grateful it all ended in praise and I felt so proud to be a godmother. I promised to visit her at the end of work today and I got right back into business. I made just 1dress today. I couldn't concentrate fully because I was excited about going to the hospital.

Around noon,I had lunch. Since i couldn't pack any from home, I ordered meatpie and coca cola from my neighbour in the plaza who has a baking shop. It was so tasty and filling. My students got back from the market at about 2pm with their fabrics and I inspected them as they were cutting so they don't make any mistakes. At 3pm, I was done with the dress I was making and I stayed in the shop for a bit to ensure my students follow my instructions.

Around 4pm, I quickly gathered my belongings and bade my students farewell. I wouldn't be around to lock up after them so I asked my staff to lock the shop and stop by my house to drop the key since she's my neighbour. On my way out, I also greeted my security and asked him to help me check that my shop is properly locked and he agreed so I thanked him and left.

On my way to the hospital, I got fruits and a plate of hot peppersoup for the new mom. I also got pampers for my godson. I plan on knitting him a cute outfit but it'll come later and I needed to show up with something for him. I paid and took a bike to the hospital.

It was hard locating my friend in the hospital ward. She looked so happy and tired like a new mom 😁😁. I hugged her tightly and congratulated her. Next, I reached for my grandson. He looked so fair, tiny and beautiful, looking so peaceful asleep. It was love at first sight. I stayed for a while and we spoke while the little champ was fast asleep. It was time for the nurse to check on them so I quickly excused them and waited in the reception.

While waiting, I reached out to a vendor and asked her to crochet something for my godson. I also called the security to confirm if the shop was locked and he affirmed. Few minutes later, the nurse was done and I went back in to bid her farewell. I wanted to sleep there but her mother-in-law and sister were around so there was no need. She was so happy and appreciative of the gifts I brought for her.

Dinner.

I got home at about 7:30pm and showered quickly. I showed my sister the pictures of the baby and I had dinner- Eba and egusi with beef. It was so delicious. I also checked up on the new mom and baby before scrolling my phone.

Today was a good day. I met my godson, my friend is alive and recovering, I worked and tutored my students. Thank you all for stopping by to read my diary. Take care and till we see tomorrow. Bye 🥰
