The Diary Game [20/02/2026]Attended a friend’s husband’s wake service.

Hello @everyone accept warm greetings from this end of globe .Today is one of the saddest times in my life .As we are preparing for our friends husband wake keep service .My friend lost her husband on December 21st,2025.In the hands of cold death .He was attacked by unknown gunmen as he was seeing off some cousins that came visiting .

On his way with his car to drop his cousin at the roadside.Unknown gun men attacked his car and he was the only person shot inthe car .This was a very sad and shocking incident to the entire community and the family .When he was rushed to the he could not make it .After, some few minutes he died in the hand of his wife my friend .

The painful exit of the husband has never been easy to the family .It was a very shocking incident and a big blow to the family.He died leaving my friend with two children and the last one is still 4months .His mortal remains was kept in the mortuary for proper burial preparation.

His mother and siblings are based in the USA so they had to kept corpse for some time.For proper burial arrangements for them to be present.At 2:00pm, I had to prepare and leave my place to my friends place for the husband wake service at 4:00pm.

We have planned to all live together at my friends with my other place until we are done with the funeral.Some our friends just arrived from another region and we were to go together to our friends compound .I took a taxi in town meet with one of my friend and we went there together.

We arrived at our friend’s place in her sad mood we have to condoled with her for the lost of her husband.She was happy to see us sacrificing our time to come and mourn her husband.Immediately, we kept our bags and went to a nearby church for the husband wake service .

It was very brief in 2hours time the wake keep service was over.We all left to the family compound for refreshments.After, the wake keep vigile without corpse continued .The population in the compound was not easy .There was musicians for the the wake who sang the whole night.

We as friends had to spend some time up .For the wake keep vigile and even danced .We believed we are celebrating his life and knowing he is resting in the hands of the lord in heaven .The wife had to spend some few minutes with us friend before entering inthe house .

The role we played was to give her comforting word that God is with her and the kids .Making her to know we all shall die one day .We all know the husband is resting in peace .What needs is to give keep on praying for the husband soul to continue to rest in peace .As one day we all die to part no more .

Our friend is a very strong woman, one thing is she has accepted the reality of death .That has been comforting her not to keep on crying but to pray for the husband.At 10:00pm we had to go and sleep . Wake keep was going on but we were already .We needed to sleep as to prepare ourselves for funeral the next day.

She already assigned people to prepare a room where Will spent a night .That how my day ended in bed against the nextday which is the proper day .For our friend’s husband funeral .May soul of Emma rest peace 🙏🙏.Condolences to my friend and the family,may the good lord continue to comfort them during this difficult times 🙏.
