The DiaryGame [06/11/2025] Pedagogic Evaluation week for teachers in my institution.
Hello @everyone accept warm greetings from @wirngo .It’s another amazing week from me to share with you people how my day was spent at my work place .It been a busy week for me with a lot of commitments. Today as early enough at hard to be at my work place .As teachers we are in pedagogic week as today is the last day of the activities for teachers.
Pedagogic week is focused on teachers to be observe by pedagogic team.Including all the colleagues in the various teaching subjects in school .Colleagues are expected to observe each teacher during their lessons in class .This entails evaluation and giving personal remarks be it positive or negative on how teachers deliver lessons with their various subjects.
This is always done to ensure effective and a better way of teachers to deliver lesson to their students.Teachers who do not master their subject matter or have of weaknesses .Are adjusted to seek a way to improved in their teaching methods.If they don’t adjust sanctions may be given to them .
Today I had to be in school early morning , as I had four difffernt classes to teach and as well.I was to be observed in my two classes by my colleagues as I teach .As I was to do same to them to observe during there lesson with other teachers .
My first class was starting at 8:20am, by this time I was already in school. Immediately I stepped in my two other colleagues in my department came in and sat die. On the bench as students .While , was teaching they were observing . My period lasted for 100minutes .
When I was done they had to moved to the other classes to observe my colleagues who were teaching today . Their observations recommendation were known to them as the wrote on papers . But all is that I know I teach well as usual and I always make I master my subjects and lessons well.i had the last observation during the afternoon period by the pedagogical team.
When I was done for the day it was my time to observe atleast two teachers in their classes .I decided to observed my colleague first in form4 .My recommendation about her was good .The only problem I think she need to work on just to gain confidence about herself not to be timid during teaching .Overall, she is a good teacher and masters her subject well .
The last colleague I was to observed was in the second cycle .I spent few minutes in his class because he is a guru in his subjects and have a good mastering of his subject and teaching skills .I really admired his way of teaching very perfect and outstanding. At around 3:00pm we gathered as teachers in our department
.To discussed our experiences of various teachers during teaching evaluation.All teachers were entrusted to speak the truth and bring out the necessary corrections .In the colleagues who taught for the day and was observed
I earlier mentioned the essence is to enhance effective education by the teachers .I love the way had to speak the truth to each other as colleagues.To better our teaching skills for does that had some shortcomings in delivering their lessons .
At the end of the day everyone was happy and for those who had recommendations .Accepted their weaknesses and promised to do better as from today .We were all happy as we have learned one or two things from our colleagues.Either positive or negative to better teachers teaching learning process with a better result.For our students at the end of the year.
We ended leaving the school during, Afternoon hours at 4:30pm.I arrived home feeling tired and exshauted.I could not do any thing ,I only struggled and heated evening meal for my family . I called it a day by taking rest in bed . What a beautiful and enriching knowledge teachers pedagogic week in school .We really learned a lot from our observations done during lessons with our various colleagues.
