When I read this question that reminded me in school time when the teacher was also asking us about being kind, do you want to know the answer of pupils? Everybody raised their hands because we all consider ourselves being kind and children do see only good qualities in themselves. I believe only later we are a bit fair to ourselves but even them often if we know that we maybe not really kind but we often do not like to announce it loudly.
When I think about myself, I would say, yes, I am or at least I am trying to do my best and be kind to people around me, of course, in first instance my family and friends, but also the people who I deal on daily basis.
When we lived in our old house, we had our neighbour an old women and everyone around were telling that she is alone and there are no relatives. People tried to avoid er, because she was also not a person who would stop and chat to others. I remember once I was passing by and she had a bag to carry to her apartment. I saw her standing and having a little break, I was passing by and greeted her. I was surprised that she started speaking to me, just asked if I also live in the houses in the direction that she was going to. I said, yes and then I offered to help her with her bags, she was delighted with it and I happily took her bags. They were not heavy and for me it was not a problem.
Once we arrived to her little apartment, she offered me a cup of tea, I accepted that. She put some candies too, but she apologised that she did not have chocolates and said that they are expensive.
While we were drinking our tea, I was looking around the photographs, she told me that her own family comes from Poland and she married an English man and moved here, they had a son who died not long ago, shortly after she lost er husband and now she is alone. She was thinking to move back to Poland but she did not have enough money that is why she is here.
When I heard that story it made me very sad, I also saw that the lady was happy to have a companion and was pleased to spent time with her. Couple of days later when I was shopping I decided to buy some chocolates and on the way home I visited the old lady and handed her chocolates, she was delighted, once again she offered me some tea and we had a little time together having tea with chocolates and her stories.
Having this moment, I felt that there is so little some people need to be happy and this is something that everyone can do just be attentive to others.
No, I do not think that I am such person, but if there is anything that I feel that doing so I can help someone I definitely will do it. Who knows in the future my point of view may get changed we never know how and what will be changed. I hope that I will continue helping there where I can.
I am inviting following users for contest: @rumanaafroz, @monz122, @uzma4882

You are right sometimes such small things for us can make such a big change for others, but also I myself was very pleased seeing how this olderly lady was smiling and happy even if for short time. Thank you for your comment :)
