SEC S6W3: "If I was steemcurator01"

image.png

Hello friends, it is another fresh week and this week it is S6W3 of the steemit engagement challenge. Fortunately, we were presented with a topic that is not only practical to us and to our affairs but also makes suggestions on how best to drive all-inclusiveness in the steemit platform using the support from the steemit team.

The contest topic is "If I were steemcurator01". This is a topic that entails knowing how best we can manage the affairs of the steemit team if the same position. And also give or point out those grey areas with positive replacements if acknowledged. Let's get started as I give my submission using the contest topic.

What would you do if you were the operator of the steemcurator01 account?

No doubt the current steemit team has done well given the fact that this is a supposed decentralized system that requires some level of independence void of interference. However, we have observed countless times when the steemit team has come up with programs that are benefit driven to all participants.

The essence of these programs is basically to drive activity in the ecosystem and as well encourage users by means of supporting participation via upvotes. No doubt, not everyone can be pleased with these evolving programs in place. So far, the best in the series was steemitcryptoacademy which had a series of impacts on both ends and end users at large.

In doing so, users were sure of guaranteed upvotes given to their performance in the assignments from the selected professors. This is unlikely of the steemit engagement challenge that is skewed without hopes of getting big upvotes from the team. Thanks to our stars for the other smaller steemit curation accounts which have continued to come to our rescue.

What am I trying to point out here, I do not have to skew the curation activities where it seems few persons are favored more than others. Every quality post in the community should be given equal attention void of the different labels attached to them. The Academy was a project that helped if not 100% to allocate upvotes evenly to all great participants in the ecosystem vis-a-vis the steemit engagement challenge.

I will look out for feedback from participants in the community on how best to reach out meaningfully to users and as well expand ongoing projects in the community. It should be multi-dimensional rather than monotony in its approach whereby everyone only depends on a singular project for survival.

What would be your criteria to select a publication from an author and reward it?

The essence of curation is to reward authors that posted quality and steemexclusive content. Not every post should be curated due to their poor content or articles violating the essence of promoting healthy activity in the ecosystem.

Therefore, these are so of primary contents for selecting an article and as well upvoting it.

  • Quality Content
  • Steem-Exclusive
  • Plagiarism free
  • Bot Free
  • Supporting at least some of the trending projects like club status, burnsteem25, etc

What type of content would you dedicate the most percentage of votes to it?

This question has similarities with the just-answered question. If I can select and support articles with such criteria, this means I should be able to look out for such articles more.

There shouldn't be a specific article type that should be favored more than the other to avoid giving unnecessary attention to some and neglecting other quality content. So far these articles are delivered perfectly with all the criteria in place, so they should be accepted.

Articles within this scope of selection should be able to get more of my attention with each selected point having an allotted 5%. That is to say that we should have the following in this order

ParameterPercentage score
Quality5℅
Steemexclusive5%
Plagiarism free5%
Bot free5%
Project support5%

How would you guarantee that the potential of the curator account is fully exploited?

Using the voting mana guidelines, it is advisable not to continue if it is below the 80% mark. This is to allow for quicker recovery with usually happens within the next 24 hours. Therefore, voting when the account must have been recharged fully is ideal to help drive more value to authors as well as the curator.

However, not all articles/posts would receive support daily due to the voting mana limitations. But on the other hand port support should be rotated in such a manner that the same users are not repeatedly supported and hence neglecting the chance of voting for other users.

How many people would operate the account to make it work properly?

No doubt, curation activity is a tasking one that requires some level of attention. When we try to itemize some of the tedious tasks inherent in curation, we won't fail to mention the overwhelming replies that needed to be attended to and also the quality comments.

Given this fact, one man to handle the affairs of a daily activity should be maintained so as to give room to quality tasks and limit possible errors while handling the account. Therefore, a 7-man handler of the SC01 account should be used for every man to handle concerns on each day.

Would you disclose your identity or prefer anonymity?

A big NO. This is simply because of over-familiarity and sentiments in discharging the task ahead may likely set in. Maintaining the existing status quo already seen with the SC01 and SC02 should be ideal.

Therefore being anonymous in all my dealings should be encouraged to avoid favoritism. Once the identity of the handler is done, this would compromise a sincere curation activity.

In conclusion it is best for our identity to be unknown while handling big responsibilities to be fair to all concerned. We also urge for an expanded project by the steemit team to allow for multi-dimensional interactions in the community.

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.

Me gustó mucho la tabla de % acumulativos para determinar el voto!! está genial, de verdad que sí!

éxitos en el desafío

Thank you for the acknowledgment.
Also wish you the Best in your Entry

Exactly, my point. The academy can be redesigned and implemented. This allows for multiple project implementation in the community.

Thank you my friend for sharing a short, concise and clear explanation, I hope that what we want can be achieved, I hope that success will always be with us all

It is simple. It is a note that should carry everyone along and make the system more competitive and more especially in a healthy manner. Thanks for engaging...

yes you're welcome.
