when I really am afraid, it pulls me closer to God, where I should have been in the first place. With him people have conquered all kinds of real fears, there are so many stories that amaze me...

Yes, there definitiely is no need for fear. God grants faith that realises that all the enemies are conquered, all you need to do is ask and receive.
