Happy Sunday steemians and newcomers. It is being said, if you want to hide something from an African put it in writing.
But I have come to realize this statement is not only true for Africans but for youths all over the world.
Reading has become so difficult that it is looked upon as a bad thing by most youths in our societies now.
I come from Cameroon in Africa, and I can say with all confidence that youths do not like reading

I am here to give you an advice today, one that I have seen in my opinion is going to ease your chances of succeeding on Steemit. I know as a newbie I am not too quality to give an advice because I am still trying to get my way around Steemit, but as a general life experience, I think it is important I give it.

THE IMPORTANCE OF READING AS A PATHWAY TO SUCCEED ON STEEMIT.

I noticed over my first 12 days on Steemit that most of the newbies kept posting about the dairy game, especially in my community @steemcameroon but I was not only in Cameroon. This prompted persons like @thegreeens and @saxopedia to host contest that required us to be creative and do creatives writings.
So I started thinking and trying to reflex why that is. Why will we as youths lack content to post on social Media. I discovered that, most of us hate the idea to read at length. Yes we dislike reading even to the point where when we are required to read and give constructive feedback on Steemit, we just go and reply with " WOW"

We lack content to post on steemit because we lack the ability to read, those who read will seldomly find themselves without ideas to post on.
There is just so much information on the internet and in books and libraries that we can get content and ideas to write on even right here on Steemit. There are times when I read a post of a fellow steemian and it gives me an idea to research and write on.

I might not always get the interaction I wanted but I believe I am doing what I love and want to. It is very important to read. Take for example just reading the post on Steemcoffeeshop I now have a life inspiration to open a shop like that.

My sincere advice is read, there are goldmines that have been written down in books,blogs and and many other places. Go and explore them and see how you don't lack content to post on steemit.
