How I met Steemit!

As part of the chaotic year that most of us had, here in Argentina we went into sanitary lockdown by the end of March. In the beginning, it was supposed to be for just two weeks, and I believe that none of us expected it to last till late September...

As a consequence of lockdown, we were not allowed to get out of our homes at all, except to go to the market. At first it was alright, since I was really tired and needed some rest, but then, as weeks went by, everything started to become so boring. Of course, I couldn't get out to see my friends or run or anything at all.

I've always been crazy about blogs and stuff like that. I happen to have a blog of my own in Blogspot, but that platform has been left behind long time ago and it's a shame, since I really enjoyed it. So, as I had lots and lots and lots of free time and I needed some place to write and free my mind, I started browsing different websites that would work in a similar way as Blogspotdid, but with some other twist or interaction that would make me feel part of it... And that's when I found out about Steemit.

I remember watching a video in Udemy about how to create your own posts and how to brose the Steemit platform in general (and not long ago I found that same users from which I learnt so much from, lol. Thank you, @yanirauseche!), and from that moment and on, all I wanted to do was to create, create and create posts.

Since then, I've had my ups and downs with Steemit, specially because of some difficulties with my time schedules in "real-life", let's say, but it's always such a beautiful moment to spend time here and help Steemit grow. I'm even more grateful towards Steemit, since I met and made a very valuable friend for me, which is @belenguerra, of course! We started talking about how we could create Writing & Reviews community and other general issues here in Steemit... and we ended up having such close and nice conection!

Currently I'm part of the Steem Great Team and I'm one of the Country Representatives for Argentina, as well as being an admin for Writing & Reviews. It's really nice to have been given such opportunities given the short time that I'm here!

Cómo conocí Steemit!

Como parte del año caótico que muchos de nosotros tuvimos en 2020, en Argentina entramos en cuarentena sanitaria a fines de Marzo. Al principio, se suponía que iba a durar no más de dos semanas y creo que no exagero si digo que nadie esperaba que dure hasta casi finalizado Septiembre...

Como consecuencia de la cuarentena, no teníamos permitido salir de nuestros hogares para nada, salvo para ir al mercado a buscar provisiones o a la farmacia. Al principio estaba bien, ya que me encontraba muy cansada y quería descansar, pero luego, con el transcurso de las semanas, todo se tornó absolutamente aburrido. Por supuesto, nadie tenía permitido salir a ver a sus amigos, correr o algo por el estilo.

Siempre me gustó mucho todo lo relacionado a blogs y cosas por el estilo. Desde hace mucho tiempo, tengo uno en Blogspot, pero esta plataforma a duras penas ha ido evolucionando y es una lástima, ya que llegué a tomarle mucho cariño y a disfrutarla mucho. Como tenía tanto, pero tanto tiempo libre y necesitaba algún lugar para escribir, comencé a buscar distintas páginas que pudieran suplir el lugar que Blogspot estaba dejando libre en mi vida, pero que aún así fuera más moderna y tuviera un número más importante de interacciones... Y ahí es donde encontré Steemit, tras navegar mucho tiempo por internet.

Recuerdo haber mirado un video en Udemy acerca de cómo crear tus propias publicaciones y cómo funcionaba en general el ecosistema de Steemit (y hace no mucho, me encontré por aquí a la misma usuaria que los había creado! Gracias @yanirauseche!!), y desde ese momento, todo lo que quería hacer era publicar más y más contenido.

Desde ese entonces, he tenido mis idas y vueltas en Steemit, especialmente por algunas dificultades de mi "vida real", digamos. Pero siempre es un momento muy grato y memorable el pasarse por Steemit y ayudar a que siga creciendo más y más. Por otro lado, también me siento realmente feliz de haberlo encontrado, ya que me hice amiga realmente muy valiosa para mi (obviamente, estoy hablando de @belenguerra), con quien empezamos hablando de cómo podría funcionar Writing & Reviews y otras cuestiones de esta plataforma... y ahora hablamos de absolutamente cualquier cuestión e incluso compartimos opinión en un montón de temas.

Actualmente, soy parte del equipo de Steem Greet, soy una de las dos Country Representatives por Argentina y una de las admins de Writing & Reviews. Es realmente lindo haber tenido semejantes oportunidades en tan poco tiempo que llevo en la plataforma! :)
