Dark Brand Bush Brown || 10% to shy-fox

I am still having a good time with butterflies. This time I am coming up with another butterfly, different size, and color. Recently, when I was on a hunting job, I found a lot of butterflies staggering around the bushes. Some were easy to catch, some failed me a lot. Like this butterfly, when I came up with a camera, it was flying here and there and made a quick stop on a leaf.

It is dark brand bush brown, a drab-looking butterfly that I found near a little stream in the wood. It has dark-greyish brown upperside and white post-discal stripes on the fore and hindwing. It is included as fast flyer butterfly that took me some time to get its photos.

This typical butterfly is easy to recognize as a group, all being some shade of brown on both wing surfaces, and marked with a series of conspicuous ocelli, and a single straight median line across the underside of both wings.

Dark brand bush brown (Mycalesis mineus) is commonly found throughout Asia and Southeast Asia that usually produce wet season, dry season and intermediate forms that used to be seen in open areas of primary and secondary forest, including along riverbanks, roadsides, railway tracks, clearings, gardens and other grassy places.
