The Daylight Moth--Tiger Moth

in Beauty of Creativity5 years ago

Another fascinating insect that I found in the bush this afternoon is the tiger moth also known as the daylight moth (Amata trigonophora) that stays under the family Arctiidae. From a closer look, we can clearly see that this species has black wings with large yellow spots on the wings. It is one of the common moths that live in bushes and spend more time on the leaves. I assume, its name refers to the strip that looks like the tiger. To take photos, I had to deal with the breeze that shook the leave where it stood, so it took me a while to take a proper shot. As the experience taught me, shake and breeze are the problems when taking photos from the closest range.
