Macrophotography Of Larinus planus

On this occasion I will share a photo about insects to all my friends, I found this insect photo when I was deliberately looking for an object for me to post on the steemit platform.
When I was walking around to get an object that I could photograph, I found an insect-like star that was perching on the trees, and I was interested in capturing it with my smartphone. After I took the photo, I finally found out about the Latin name of this animal which is often referred to as Larinus planus.
Larinus planus is an insect of the Curculionidae ("true" weevil) family. They are oval shaped, dark brown or black, and about 5–10 millimetres (3⁄16–3⁄8 in) long. While native to Europe, it is also common in North America. It feeds on floral buds, primarily of thistles, with the larvae stage being the most destructive to them. In North America, it has been used as a biocontrol agent. It is also known as Larinus carlinae. Larinus planus prefers dryer ranges, but can also adapt to wetter locations. It does well in sunny areas with well drained soils. Wikipedia
