Now I tell you little information about Rabindra Kuthibari at Shahjadpur, Sirajgonj. After the independence of Bangladesh in 1971, the government realised the importance of this cottage. It was established as a museum by collecting various artworks of poet Rabindranath Tagore. Earlier, Rabindranath's grandfather Prince Dwarkanath Tagore had acquired the zamindari of the region in 1807. He was a zamindari here, but later, around 1889, the poet came here as a zamindari.

Rabindranath Tagore Shahjadpur Rabindra Kachari wrote his famous Vaishnava poetry, Sonar Tari Granth, Dvaipakhi, Chaitali, Akasher Chand, Yamuna, Puraskar, Hriday, Chitra etc. but also started the work of Gitanjali poetry. Then he won the Nobel Prize. The character 'Ratan' in the story Post Master was also written sitting in Shahjadpur. Sitting in Shahjadpur, he composed Chitra, Shitate and Basant, Nagar Sangeet and 28 Chaitrali, 38 Chinna Patrabali, parts of Panchabhuta and Bisarjan plays. Rabindranath stayed in Shahjadpur for seven years, from 1890 to 1896. It has been preserved as a glorious monument in Shahjadpur under the management of the Directorate of Archaeology. And open to all visitors.

Tagore wrote parts of his plays Bisharjan, Golapguchcha, Chhinnapatra, Panchabhute Diyar and Mayeli Ram in Shahjadpur. Not only that, that famous poem of our childhood-

Today, this palace is open to visitors as a museum.

Shoes, wooden sandals, a piano, and a harmonium are just a few of the artefacts and souvenirs on display in the museum. The building has a fascinating architectural heritage, and the museum has seven rooms on the first and second floors. Rabindranath the artist, Rabindranath the zamindar, Rabindranath the farmer's friend, i.e. all the pictures of different eras and times.

Pictures from his childhood to his deathbed are preserved here. Apart from this, there are all kinds of artworks of the poet and his necessary furniture, which is beautifully decorated. The poet requires 8 Uehara Balkans, wooden chairs, tea tables, sofa sets, comfortable chairs, couches, etc.

Like other years 2023 will mark the 162nd birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. Every year locals and officials celebrate Rabindranath Tagore's birthday at the palace. It celebrates cultural events for three days (including the 26th and 27th) with the 25th Baishakh in the Bengali calendar. Usually, May 8 to 10 coincides with the English month. The museum is in Shahjadpur city, open Monday to Saturday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The entry fee is Rs.20. But as his birth anniversary, these three days are available for everyone. Pay is optional on this day.

On these three days, from 9 am to 11 pm, various artists-craftsmen performed dances, songs and dramas in the auditorium in memory of Rabindranath. On his birth anniversary, fairs were organised inside and outside Kacharibari. From small children to children, older people, women, youth, elders, men and women of different ages come to see.
As a result, there is a long line to get in. Kuthibari is beautifully decorated with various fruits, flowers and medicinal plants.
