Get Ready to Lose Your Job… Or Maybe Upgrade Yourself?

Hi everyone greetings to all Steemers!
Last night I was sitting alone, just scrolling and reading this page from a book. Honestly, it made me uncomfortable for a moment.
It was saying:
2028 — Coders gone.
2029 — Drivers gone.
2030 — Doctors replaced.
2031 — Lawyers replaced.
Almost everyone… finished.
For a few seconds I actually asked myself…
If this really happens, then where do we go?
If self-driving becomes normal, millions of drivers lose work.
If AI diagnoses better than doctors, what happens to clinics?
If AI writes and deploys code, what happens to programmers?
It sounds scary when you read it like that.
But then I paused.
Hasn’t this happened before?
When mobile phones came, people said letter writing is dead.
When the internet came, they said newspapers are finished.
When ATMs were introduced, they said bank employees would disappear.
But nothing completely died.
It changed shape.
Maybe the real message is not “jobs will disappear.”
Maybe the real message is “average skill will disappear.”
The average coder will struggle.
The routine doctor will feel pressure.
The copy-paste lawyer will fall behind.
But the one who uses AI as a tool?
He might win.
I don’t think the future is AI vs Humans.
I think it’s AI + Humans.
Yes, competition will become harder. Maybe the top 1% will earn much more. Maybe the middle class professionals will feel squeezed. That part feels real.
But total darkness? I don’t think so.
In my opinion, instead of panicking, we should start learning.
Learn AI tools.
Build unique skills.
Develop thinking, creativity, decision-making.
Because maybe the job won’t disappear…
But the old version of us probably will.
