Travelling, wandering, going on an expedition, just cruising along or whatever you would like to call it.

It all comes down to getting of your ass, switching off that annoying television and start planning your next trip. It doesn’t have to be a place far away, but preferably one that you haven’t visited before. For us travelling means getting active, meet new cultures and people. We might even try to learn a new language along the way.

Travelling enhances your life in so many ways, here are just some examples.

1. Broadens your view on life

The fact that you are getting into new cultures and meeting new people every day, opens up your mind to other ideas. It helps us to enjoy the small things in life even more, just because our minds are not bound to the daily things like your typical working grind.

2. Keeps you healthy

By travelling we don’t mean lying on a beach for two weeks with a nice cocktail in one hand and a huge fat burger in the other. This kind of ´travelling´ doesn’t promote your health at all. Our style of travelling is more active like walking around trough beautiful city´s or landscapes.

Be active and just get out into the world!!

There is so much to explore and you will never get a chance to see it while just lying on the beach and doing nothing all day.

3. Expanding your creativity

Because of all the interaction with other people and cultures while travelling, will eventually make you become more creative. This could mean, more inspiration to write the best Steemit blogs or creativity for the next time your boss asks you to come up with a new idea. Like some scientists say, new sounds, smells, tastes, languages or sensations will spark different synapses in the brain which can potentially revitalize the mind.

4. Dealing with changes

For a lot of people change is probably one of the hardest things to accept. This could be changing the way you think, switching jobs or switching the country you live in. It doesn’t matter how big the change is, but change is confronting. Some people are having a hard time changing their wardrobe, let alone moving to another country. The nice thing about travel is that all these changes come natural when your are on the road. Most of the time while exploring you need to adapt. Because of other cultures, people, or habits that you are not used to. Getting comfortable with changes on the road will help you accept changes at home too. This is very important because there is nothing so susceptible to changes as the world we live in today!

5. You might even learn a new language

This is something you have to be willing to work for. Travelling gets you involved in other languages really easy. Not saying you would have to spend all your free time learning a new language, but be open to it. Most of the time locals will very much appreciate your effort, it doesn’t matter where you are.

Spot on! It's annoying when people say "I wish I could travel too", but they don't move a finger to make it a reality.

Yeah for sure, you got to do what you need to do to make things happen haha!

Welcome to TravelFeed! I agree with all the points listed, I wish I gave more time learning the language when I'm in a new country, locals really appreciate that.

Thanks! Totally agree often just showing locals that you are willing to try helps in making great connections.
