Show Communities created on profile page + Auto Beneficiaries Settings for Owners
So my first suggestion is to have a tab on the users profile that shows what communities they've created. I think that once communities goes live, there will be thousands of communities in no time. Even if there is a search feature on the explore page, it might be hard for users to discover relevant communities.
So I think it would help with this if you can not only discover a community based on whether it's trending or finding it on the explore page, but you can also find communities "by user".
The second suggestion is giving community owners some options for setting auto beneficiaries for posting in their community.
This came to mind as I was thinking of ways to incentivise people to post into my community and one idea I had was to create a community account that would curate the community. I've come up with a few ideas to fund that account, but I think a very powerful way would be through all community contributors setting the account to be a beneficiary. Some options that would be great.
- Optional or Mandatory (They can go into advanced settings and unset it)
- What account (For different setups it would be great to be able to set multiple accounts as well)
- What percentage
I think the best way to implement this would also be that the user is notified of the beneficiary setting BEFORE they post, as I have in the mockup above.
Anyone reading this, feel free to leave your thoughts on these suggestions as well. Are these things you'd want to see?
I like both your ideas. On this one
you meant communities created by a certain user. I would extend it to include communities which have a certain user as an admin or moderator.
Good post and love all the suggestions you gave.
