This morning I woke up early as usual that time a light cool breeze was blowing outside and the first rays of the sun were visible in the sky. Took a quick bath drank tea and left for my hospital. There was everyday crowd on the way, but there was peace in the mind. As soon as we reach the hospital, there is the same familiar hustle and bustle. The Nurses busy at work doctors on rounds, and a glimpse of hope on the faces of the patients.

I did the rounds of my ward today also. Met every patient, some were better than before, while others felt that they needed more attention. Talked with him for a while, listened to him, and noted down whatever was needed. Slowly the entire round was completed. After that I went straight to the canteen. The same simple daily food there – some rice, pulses and vegetables. But I don't know why, the food in the hospital canteen gives comfort like home.

In the afternoon I had to go to a Muslim Legal Conference. It was a slightly different experience because the atmosphere was serious but the talks were very informative. Lawyers, scholars and other guests were presenting their views. I also listened to everything carefully. Many things touched the heart – on justice, humanity and social responsibilities. After spending some time there I left.

On the way back I suddenly remembered that I had to buy a new sofa for the house. So I went straight towards the market. Looked in many shops, the color and design were different, but in the end I liked a blue and gray shade sofa. Bargained a bit with the shopkeeper and bought the same. When I came home and decorated it in the room, the whole atmosphere changed. The room started looking more spacious and beautiful than before.

In the evening when all the tiredness was gone so I was stand on the balcony and drank tea. The sun was slowly setting in the sky in front. The whole atmosphere seemed blue – the sky the buildings and there was a coolness in the air. That moment seemed to stop the hustle and bustle of the whole day. Everything stopped for just a few moments and I just kept looking at that scene.

By the end of the day, there was a strange peace in my mind. The work got done, there was a chance to learn, and there was peace at home in the evening. Sometimes it's the little moments that make life beautiful-nothing more or nothing less but just a simple but contented day.
