Aren't you lucky!
We don't have mushrooms like that growing here. We only use store-bought ones, usually preserved in cans, for our pizzas and white pasta. Even if they did grow here, I wouldn’t know which ones are edible—actually, most people wouldn’t. So, they’re neither cultivated, hunted, nor commonly eaten here. But I do like them, especially in white pasta. So I can say you are lucky in this regard!
Happy mushroom-ing 🍄🍄🍄
Mushroom hunting is very popular in our country, especially here in the Carpathian region, where there are many forests. I don't know how important it once was in terms of survival, but now it is a favorite hobby of many people. Such walks have a therapeutic effect when the legs get tired and the mind rests. In addition, it is a priceless touch with nature, because during such walks you can often meet wild animals, including rare ones.
It's a little funny, but I don't like to eat mushrooms. I collect them for my loved ones. For me, the process itself is important, an extra opportunity to go to the forest. 🙂
Therapeutic! It must be.
And again you are very lucky to live this close to nature. Believe me, you are!
