“Life in my city”

Hello, welcome! Join me as I discuss life in my city.

So far this year, is there something new in your city you would like to share with us? Fuel increase, price of things, a protest, a robbery or any other gist.

A lot has been happening in my city. Let’s start with the recent hike in fuel price. It’s been a double hike lately. The first time I noticed it was the day I was going to see my elder brother and his family and the price of fuel was increased. It came as a shock to most of the drivers and of course the opportunist fuel sellers have all Locked up their filling stations.

The next days that followed saw another hike and this one definitely led to the increase in transport fares and also increase in food items. Well, the prices of food on the increase too has been alarming as they market sellers are also using fuel hike as an excuse. Things are so expensive in the market.

As if that’s not enough, if I told you that the epileptic light condition has dilapidated the more, it won’t be a fable. We haven’t had light in weeks. They simply flash it here and there and we keep hearing the story that the national grid has fallen again and again. It was so bad that most of our foods in the refrigerator had to be thrown away because they got bad.

The no water and light issue has really been a torn in the flesh and the frustration is real. We are not just battling with the prices of food on the raise, there’s fuel hike and now no electricity and we also have to suffer for lack of water.

Can you say you have made any progress so far this year? Tell us about it.

Personal yes. Well, the year didn’t really start on a good note for me and I had my batch of depressing and unpleasant moments. I am glad that I am finally getting back on my feet. Hehehe. For me that’s a whole lot of progress already.

I am finally able to start writing on my blog again and giving time to engage in contests and challenges of Slc. I have also worked on increasing my steem power and that’s alot of progress for me this year. I am glad that I am able to get pass my challenge and start again.

If you have an opportunity of making your city better what will you do?

A lot is to be done in this city. Let’s start with making electricity available. This is a basic need that makes life easier for people and having it not readily available is very challenging. I would work on the fuel hike challenge and helping to make fuel prices lower so that people can easily go about their businesses and be able to afford good food to eat.

The issue of hike in food prices, fuel prices, transportation, availability of electricity and water are all basic life necessities that will help to make life easier for the people in my city.

Let's say you are given a choice to decide to leave your city to another city better than your current one and would be sponsored or you are given a huge amount of money to stay back in your city, what will be your choice? And why?

IMG_3859.jpeg

Well, my city is a metropolitan city and one of the bests in the country that ones can find themselves in. So I like it here in my city. It’s the center of excellence and basically everything that one needs to live well is available here so there won’t be any need to relocate. Relocate to where?

So it means that I would have to settle for the option of taking the huge amount of money and stay back in this city and put my life in order. That’s a better choice. That huge amount of money would actually go a long way if it’s put into good use.

Life in the city these days is a real struggle. People aren’t even doing suffering and smiling anymore, so sad.

As for the choice, isn’t it money taking me to the new city?? Hahahaha.
