My Neighborhood Watch #130 - Reporting Events Around us (25/12/2025)

Season's greetings to our amazing community, and a cheerful Merry Christmas to everyone. I’m excited to share a brief reflection on how I celebrated December 25th, a day full of gratitude, love, delicious food, and meaningful experiences. Christmas is a time that highlights the importance of togetherness, appreciation for God, and the joy of sharing simple moments with family and friends, and this year was no different.

My Christmas Day began on a calm and thankful note as I attended church with my husband. The service was uplifting and rejuvenating, perfectly setting the mood for the day. We engaged in worship, prayer, and expressions of gratitude, reflecting on the true essence of Christmas—the birth of Christ and the gift of love to humanity. After the service, I returned home with some friends, stopping at a restaurant along the way to grab snacks that served as our appetizers. We enjoyed these treats while chatting and laughing before heading home.

Once home, I headed straight to the kitchen to prepare Afang soup, a beloved local dish. When it was done, we all gathered—family and friends—to enjoy the meal together. The moment was heartwarming and fulfilling, not just because of the delicious food, but also due to the joy of sharing it with loved ones. After our meal, we took some time to relax and digest the day’s blessings.

Later on, I made Jollof rice and coleslaw, which we happily shared. The atmosphere remained vibrant as we played games, exchanged jokes, and created wonderful memories. As evening came, I safely dropped my friends off, feeling grateful for their company. It was truly a fantastic day, and I am thankful for the love, peace, and joy that Christmas brought.
