Steemit Engagement Challenge S5/W5 - My Day in Pictures

Introduction

What's good, fellow Steemit fans? It's already the 5th week of season 5 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, and as always, Steem4Nigeria has for us here another interesting contest title, "My day in pictures." This should be fun, shouldn't it?
Let's dive in, then, to my special activities for the day in pictures

About today's day

:

Today being Monday is supposed to be the startup working day for the week in many countries of the world after embarking on two days off work for the weekend. On this day, anyone, including me, carries out their general plans for the whole week, and subsequently, the first plan commences immediately. Today's Monday wasn't any different either.

My activities of the day in pictures

: Morning Activities

I woke up today quite early too, incisively at 5. This is because I slept at the right time last night.
I had my morning devotion, then got freshened up, and at 5:30 I was ready to start the day's activities.

At 5:57 today, I escorted my little brother Maxwell to his school bus station, where he was picked up by the bus. Maxwell is a 10-year-old boy; that's mature enough to go and wait for the bus without an escort, but then, you're about to find out. Maxwell is in basic 5, and he plays quite a lot. Now, considering the fact that he plays too much and that the time of going out is too early for him due to the insecurity challenges in the area, I've chosen to be escorting him.

Because he finished everything and woke me up today at the right time, he was able to catch up with the first school bus, precisely at 6:28.

• ✓Foodstuffs purchases

As previously stated, since it's the beginning of the week, general plans for the week are best carried out on this day too. I personally do carry out my weekly purchases on this day, and today wasn't exceptional.

To avoid the heavy traffic and massive clouds in the late hours of the day, I decided to go get my things at the market in the morning.
I was in the market at 8:24, and fortunately enough, all the things I needed were available.

My activities of the day in pictures

: Afternoon activities

• ✓Helping neighbors in pulling out stocked truck

My afternoon hours got me rendering a little bit of help to my neighbors, who were struggling to pull out their stocked-in-the-mud vehicle. This was at 13:03.

The stocked truck is owned by a neighboring road construction company. It got stocked as a result of the excessive accumulation of water in that area.
While I was passing, about five of them pleaded with me to help.
All efforts at pulling the truck out proved abortive. It was finally brought out with the help of a dump truck.

• ✓Harvesting my yam

I harvested my yam, which I planted in my compound three months ago. I never had intentions of harvesting this yam so soon until today afternoon, when I decided to. Since I planted the yam, it's been growing well. The greenish leaves and the many branches always convinced me that my yam tuber would be very big too, though I never applied fertilizer.

Today afternoon at 15:23, while admiring it, out of curiosity, I decided to dig and see how it's been down there. To my utter surprise, the tubers weren't worthy of being called tubers but seeds, as if I had planted groundnuts. This made me uproot it as soon as I discovered that, besides, the leaves were housing some insects.

: Evening Activities

By 16:00, I was through with all my planned activities for today that are worth to mention.
Because it was a bit hectic, I never had much time to spend on the internet, and as such, I decided to utilize the evening hours to catch up on what I'd missed. It's always cool to utilize the internet during the evening hours, and today wasn't any different either.

My ratings for today's day

My activities today, though they weren't much, were a bit much compared to previous days. However, carrying out all that you've planned for the day or in life generally isn't always easy, and I believe that I won't be off balance if I rate myself 8 out of 10 for today.

The cool weather spiced up my day too. It did not rain in my area today, which helped me maintain a normal temperature and easily flow through my planned activities.
I'm hoping for another better day like this.
