A warm morning greeting to everyone in this community. I hope everyone had great night rest yesterday. I sure did slept well. Yesterday, an event happened close to my where I live and after the whole scenario I wanted to put it down here last nigh but it was late so I decided to write the article this morning and that is why I am here today. I will be talking about an important topic today which I have titled Racism and tribalism, the greatest problems affecting the world today**. why not we take a ride on this one real quick.

Most of the things causing problems which we all have been noticing in this country and in this world at large has been pointed out to be racism and tribalism. these two factors are mostly the reason why people are often at loggerheads, the fighting we often see between two countries sometime when we trace the cause of the fighting, definitely there will be an atom of racism. also some quarrels between two ethnic groups, when careful traced is as a result of tribalism.

Now before I go further, I will be explaining in details what the word racism and tribalism are all about so that we will all get a clearer picture of what we are dealing with today.

WHAT IS RACISM

As the word implies racism can be seen as a notion that is believed that there are certain inherent differences in human races which determines there various ability, and generally that some are higher than the others. so the individuals that classified them selves as higher people are called the superiors and those individuals that are considered less are termed inferior. this is the greatest problem seen in the world today.

Another definition of racism can be seen as discrimination based upon individual race. now a person that portrays the kind of habit is called a racist. judging from scenarios that happened long ago, every country have suffered a lot from racism.

I logged into a social group on discord because I was sent a link to my Facebook application some time ago and it was a ice group that talks about women empowerment. I noticed most of the women are from different countries
the minute I said hello to everyone in the group, someone asked where am I from then I said Nigeria could you believe they kicked me out of the group immediately and I did nothing wrong.

The concept of Racism has enveloped the heart of various people across the world and this is the major problem why two countries can not live at peace with each other. people barely leave their countries to other countries because of the fear of racism. the word is too strong that it is now being passed unto generations. why on earth will a fellow human being like me, with two hands and legs feels he or she is greater than I? this is the question I keep asking myself.

It did not just stopped there, we are currently suffering from racism everyday by day. in social media platforms , I have seen two people from different countries insulting and abusing themselves because one feel he is superior than the other and then the other person did not accept that statement and they started trolling themselves on the platform which brought other people to it and every other person that joins the conversation will take side of his country person without knowing the cause of the problem.

WHAT IS TRIBALISM

Tribalism is seen in the case of two people from a particular country but from different ethnic group. tribalism has been spotted mostly in countries with many ethnic group such as my country. the discrimination is to much to the point that, people come to fight and support a person from the same ethnic group as them even if that person is wrong provided he is from their town, they will give him or her unrelenting support.

I went out yesterday to buy fish for my food, and on reaching the market I saw a Yoruba man and an Igbo man quarreling so powerful on the road side about the forth coming election. the Yoruba man said he will be voting for a candidate from his town because the candidate came from his town, and the Igbo man said the same thing. so they started blasting each other, bring the lapses that is affecting each candidates, and that was how other Yoruba's and Igbo's came to join the conversation. each person supporting his own brother.

I became worried, is this how we want to live, is this how we wish to unite each other when the discrimination is still ongoing. how can we maintain peace and harmony when we often side only the persons from our town even though they are wrong. will the world ever be a better place with racism and tribalism. how can we grow in this manner, what are we teaching our children and what will our children teach their children to come.

This is how generation war came into existence. how can we settle the dispute of our past when the dispute o our future ranges on. we do not support each other again because of discrimination, racism, and tribalism. what have we done wrong, be you white or black we are still one, we breathe in same air, we equally have the same systems and body sells, same color of blood runs through our vein so why the hate? why the discrimination? when the sentiment?

It is high time we put all those thing behind us an aim for a better future. if the world would be complete without whites then God would not have created them, and if the world would be perfect without blacks then we would not have been in the picture today. please let us all embrace each other, we all are here to make the world a better place, to make the steemit platform a wonderful place for all who are interested.

Remember, together we stand but divided we fall. let us call a spade a spade, we do not have to side evil, even if that evil has been executed by a person from our side. we don't have to continue like this, let us all show love to each other again because we all know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. why don't we forgive and forget the past and then come together as one again. long leave #steemit

It is a pleasure to write this article here, we shall meet again friends.
