You may be wondering who patronises this establishment, as those in that rural area have no business to do with such an establishment because they cannot afford their services. Could it be a future vision that the rural area would develop in years to come, or could it be that the expensive establishment wants to bring development to the place?

It's surprising to know that an expensive hotel is situated in a rural area and this hotel operates 24/7 with lots of customers. How? In a rural area? Yes... And you know what, this hotel brought a great development to this rural area, a development the government hasn't given this village in years. Let's visit

Location and Background

De Daniel's Royalty Hotels and Apartments is located at the heart of my residential area, Ifa Atai Big Junction, Oron Rd, Uyo. This hotel is located far from the big junction but with an accessible road to the place, as the owner of the place made this possible. So even though it's inside the village, it has an accessible road that is graded with streetlights down to the hotel. The owner of the hotel also made an electronic board to advertise at the junction.

Its location isn't a problem because big men can access that hotel and find it even more convenient to rest, as it's not by the roadside where people can see them going in and out. Most people love hotels that aren't on the roadside to avoid unnecessary visibility. So the owner knew what he was doing even when we thought he didn't make a good choice in location.

To expand his hotel space, he bought not just a plot of land but people's houses. I think he paid off about 5 residents living close to his hotel space to create room for other facilities which the hotel currently runs and accommodates. It's in Uyo — Akwa Ibom State — Nigeria — Africa

Brief History

This hotel is barely a year old, as it came into existence some years back, of which work started in earnest last year, in August to be precise. The hotel was completed on the 26th of April, 2025. It was once a two-storey building hotel with an extended end, but with little space until the owner had to settle with residents in that area to sell their lands for him with a substantial amount of money to expand the place.

Before the completion of this place, the owner mounted solar streetlights from where the cold tar stops to the hotel's entrance. Though the accessible road isn't tarred but is graded to enhance movement.

Management

Owned by a popular man with a family name called Daniel, the place is currently managed by a beautiful young lady who happens to be a relative of this multimillionaire. Tariela Youdiowei is the lady that's currently managing the hotel, and she does her best to ensure the smooth running of this place. Her humility speaks volumes even as the manager. She doesn't command respect. Respect comes to her naturally because she is deserving of every inch.

The way she treats her staff lifts the name of the hotel. **I've not seen the owner physically, but by his works, he's seen. How? He created employment opportunities for youths in my area where the hotel is seen by giving them slots to become hotel attendants, cleaners, receptionists and other facilities in the hotel.

Such a proof of someone who doesn't care about himself alone and can provide hospitality and comfort to the people in his hotel. This is what the management does.

Exterior

The exterior of this hotel is glittery from the gate to the walls and the exterior designs on it. The exterior categorises three sections of this hotel. There are about 4 sections of two storeys each. These four sections have different designs of aluminium metals and grey and white coloured paint on their walls and so on. It also has an extended exterior behind the 4 storeys.

On its walls are barbed wires for security against unauthorised access, and the fence round the building is considerably high. **, These fences are tiled with sand-coloured tiles, which prevents dirt on the walls when it rains. The exterior of the second section storey, where the reception is, is designed with gold-coloured aluminium fabrics with glittery lights that shine at night.

The hotel has interlocked floors, which adds to the serenity of the place. Beautiful flowers are seen in the pavements of the hotel sections to beautify them.

Interior

The interior parts of this hotel are as beautiful as what I can't describe. The interior designs on the walls speak volumes. Like, I'm trying to figure out what makes the interior so special. The lighting, the decor, the couch, and other designs. The interior has lots of aisles and also has an aisle for the infirm and elderly. Their aisles are lighted by a beautiful chandelier bulb, I mean, aisles that are on the first and second floors. The chandelier bulb is at the far end, where the staircase is.

You certainly need to see the interior at night. You'll be fascinated by how beautiful this place can be. The bulbs have the ability to change someone's feelings. The entrance of this hotel is mad. All major entrances have an electronic door that detects the presence of someone and moves by itself without being touched.

Facilities in the Interior and Exterior

As large as this hotel and apartments are, they have lots of facilities. Let's start from the reception area, where visitors are welcomed and given seats to sit in in the case of enquiries.

• Reception area: The reception area has two parts, one for the receptionist and the other a lobby area where guests relax and wait to be attended to. There are some beautiful couches with a chandelier bulb there. The flowers just make the interior of that place crazy. At the far right is the manager's office, where she stays to manage this hotel and receive guests who tend to see her.

The receptionist area is actually beautiful. It's more like a small Dubai. It has a long deck, clocks of different times and labelled keys that can open rooms. That's why I call the hotel beauty in black. The black here is the location it is found. No other hotel is as beautiful as this hotel with lots of facilities that can entertain guests. Let's move on to another facility, which is the canteen.

Receptionist area	The convenience in the reception area

Canteen: The canteen area is located beside the receptionist area, where snacks, drinks and other minor and major things guests in the hotel may want to purchase are available. So instead of going outside to do this purchase, the canteen serves this purpose. Sometimes a guest may want to use Sugar in his tea. He'll have to use this canteen to settle that. The canteen is covered with transparent glass with shelves. You can see everything from there. There is a convenience by the reception area which guests can make use of.

Security Post: The security post is located at the entrance of the hotel, and it's a one-storey building. They call the ground floor Muster point. Guests tend to check in at this security post before entering the hotel for security reasons.

• Halls_: They have two kinds of halls for rentals. These halls are used majorly to host events, and the interior of this hotel is just giving. It has lots of pillars for demarcation and exclusive chairs that are used whenever an event is hosted there. It also has a convenience and a stage supported with heavy wood. The floor is tiled, and it can be accessed by using the last section of the 4 storeys we have in the hotel.

• Exterior Playground: They have an exterior playground for fitness activities and other recreational aspects, and one met wants to host there. A gathering may not want indoor events but rather an outdoor event in an open area or space. This hotel has it. Most times the gym instructor does fitness or workout sessions in this place on Saturdays.

• VIP restaurants: The VIP restaurants are sitting areas for guests to discuss confidential matters and also enjoy quality food. The chairs are quite different from that of regular guests who come to the restaurant for date purposes. If you notice, it's mostly tables for two. So it's more like a couple of VIP sections.

• Pool/Bar: The pool and bar are joined together with different sections. The bar is spacious and can accommodate over 100 people. The first floor has chairs that can accommodate people as well. There's a counter where people pay money to get drinks on their table, and there are fridges in that counter that only staff can access. Their poolside is enlarged and categorised into adult and children's pools. The neatness of the pool area can't be overemphasised.

• Fitness or Gym Centre: They have a fitness centre in this hotel, and this fitness centre has lots of specialised equipment used primarily for workouts. It's good to know that guests in the hotel can access this place for free without having to pay for a session. Beside the gym centre is a convenience that can be used to be convenient. Their training sessions for outsiders cost a thousand naira.
