The Diary Game || 27-04-24 || Swimming with Steemians and the latest 2x dolphin as Part of Fitness, Attending a Burial, Mentorship

Dear Diary,
It was a day of excitement and a day to mourn as the holy book says; Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. I did these two activities in my weekend which made it a memorable one, one with moments to live on to. I had the best experience of my life as a result of learning how to keep fit.

I also had the best of moments with friends, I got to know about people and their lifestyle and finally mourned the death of my friend's relative. This is the narrative.

Morning Activities

I had a lot of reviews the previous day that I found it hard to balance Mentorship on my WhatsApp social media platform with the reviews. I was up on my WhatsApp till 3Am busy mentoring on different groups before going to bed. I still woke up early to prepare for the hangout Stay Fit Team in my locality, a fitness team organised in my area.

This was the flex shared on the WhatsApp group before the agreed date. It was going to be a Pool/Fruit hangout. This pool hangout was to teach us an important part of fitness which is swimming. My coach highlighted the importance of swimming the previous day and I was set to met them in our training center that morning.

Guess what? It was a sanitation day. That's how I escaped a tough sanitation exercise that morning for hangout. In no time, I arrived the training center of which I was being waited for. These are pictures of us trying to find our way to the hotel which has a private pool for swimming.

We boarded a vehicle for this purpose which took us to the hotel at an affordable fare of #1500 for 7 people. Luckily for us, he accepted online transaction as payment and brought us safely to the hotel. I took pictures of some trainees with my coach in the hotel. Our arrival was around 9Am in the morning.

We reached the pool side with sanitation ongoing in the pool and pool area. We obtained permission to use the available space for our meeting. This is the agenda of the meeting. Everyone were allowed to hear the agenda in case of of any adoption by those listening.

There were some adoptions on the agenda and the person chairing was this man who has been one of my greatest motivation being in this team. He did this work in the absence of the main chairman. This is a picture of the man himself and our able coach who organised this hangout to make people know something is really going on here.

The picture below shows the adult section and the children section as we were discussing matters arising, following the agenda. Our coach then spelled out the importance of the hangout which would involve swimming. These were her words.

In no time, drinks were rushed into the table to wet our tongue and throats. Drinks such as Hero, origin and Malta Guinness majorly were tabled while the meeting was still ongoing. In the course of our discussion, we made arrangements for pool money to be paid in time. The fee was quite affordable and there were categories on this swimming of which children section was involved in the category. These are pictures of people that came for the pool.

The table was really tabling with fruits and groundnuts. Drinks were also the major and we collected more than 15 bottles. While the discussion was still ongoing, I took to making good use of my camera, capturing the moments that prevailed. I was the Media Man in the event, putting luster to it as without pictures, no one will know this kind thing happened. These pictures are to keep our memories alive.

It was time for the pool party to commence in full. We were given 13 towels to use for the swimming. The first set of people that started this swimming were children. They entered the shallow part of the pool which were the steps not until they were told to leave the pool for adult to the children section. The picture below shows the children that came.

After capturing the children, the adults came in with their different outfits for swimming. The steemians that were present were @jebbymoz12, @alli001, @ngoenyi, @fortwis09, @chichigirl and @wizzyboy3. The below are pictures of the adult trainees. I was their photographer and I did justice to the pictures and moments.

I was just so surprised by how many there swim. The fattest ones were the athletics there and it was actually interesting to view. Entering the pool was my greatest fear though I had to enter at least to remember the moment. I did change to a comfortable outfit that would aid my swimming.

The water in the pool at first increased my breath pressure that I started breathing heavily as though I had asthma. I then took to being by the edge of the pool before thinking of moving around. Luckily for me, I found the floater as support. I've never entered a pool before because I've had this longlasting fear of water. I prefer putting my legs alone than delving in.**

All of a sudden with the floater, my head entered the water and a considerable amount of water entered my nostrils and mouth that made me lose focus. I started sinking not until I was raised up and dropped again and then raised out of the pool. It was a my first swimming lessons with something to remember.

I left the pool in no time to prepare for a burial of my friend's relative. I had to turn up to comfort him as his wife's dad was late and it was today he was buried. I left with @ngoenyi to the venue which we asked for directions until we reached the venue. Our fare was quite considerable as we negotiated and didn't just accept the said fare.

We arrived the venue in no time and listened to the talk given by the chairman. This talk entailed a comforting message, a hope to the bereaved that they'll see their dead loved one being brought back to life in the future and this would be done as a result of the resurrection Hope. The tears were uncontrollable though we tried comforting the bereaved of their loss.

It was time to bury their late dad. I was there as his coffin was placed inside the hole dug. The bereaved then entertained us after mourning their loss with them. I was served double portion of assorted.

In no time, we left for home of which I joined an available vehicle down to my abode. I didn't end my day with coming back from the burial. I took to checking up the assignments I gave my students on the WhatsApp group concerning how they'll navigate the steemit platform. That's how my day went.
