Diary game for Saturday may 4: 2024: I worked out, I attended a burial and more

Attending the funeral service of Elder udoudom Abraham udoudom.

I woke up in the morning so early as usual because it was a big day for me , a busy day i was looking forward for it, so i was so excited.firstly i connected to my early morning online prayers we prayed for some minutes about different concerns and then we had a brief exaltation and rounded off for the day , several instructions and points were noted and then we dismiss for the day ,then i went ahead to dress up for my exercise routine everything was arranged accordingly . arriving the exercise venue i did so much exercise that morning.

After my exercise i had to rush back home because i had a burial to attend so i prepared breakfast quickly for the family my kids had an outing too so i needed to drop them off in church before leaving for the funeral service , so i packed their lunch boxes with snacks and soft drinks so enable them stay and wait for me until i returned.
My Morning sessions
I drop them off in church though it was so early for them but d were safer there waiting for other kids to join them, i needed to drop them early because my time was 9 am but theirs was to commence by 11 am but i delayed abit till 9:30 and i drop them off in church so that i can met up with my other activities, it was a fruitful day for me so much i needed to achieve today so i was already dressed because i set aside my clothes a night before,when i drop the kids off i proceeded to my waiting point for the vehicle to pick me up , arriving there , i was so early i met with few of my members , we had to wait for more people to arrive so we can move.
These are my already prepared clothes

My tshirts , my skits and my sneakers. That was the dress code for the burial.so while waiting people were coming in one after the other
We waited for a while ,more people keep arriving until we were complete , we entered the vehicle and started our journey we filled in the bus with three people per seat, it was an eighteen seater bus , i was seated in the middle at the far back seat.

Before we took off ,someone Lead in a short prayer and then we proceeded to the venue ,it was actually a long drive for me from uyo to nsit ubium L G A. We had our female pastors with us well seated ,this is our custom in wwp , any function we attend as a wwp member it is our tradition to always wear our tshirts especially for funerals, we have other uniforms for other ceremonies. Everything was perfect , our journey was swift and smooth ,the roads were excellent we didn't need to worry about a thing , i had my friends seated with me on the left and om the right so we were catching up with lots of gists . the driver was excellent since the journey was within the state it was quite easy ,we arrived safely at the football pitch ikot ntung primary school off eket - oron road ikot ntung, Nsit ibium LGA in Akwa ibom state where the events took place.

               Afternoon sessions

When the venue was confirmed ,we proceeded inside we were welcomed with a massive crowd, we had a warm welcome by some of our wwp members which were already on ground waiting for our arrival wwp ( when women pray) it is a non denominational prayer meeting for women founded by Apostle Opi Apga . we went further to great our other pastors that came in from lagos and Abuja respectively it was indeed a great gathering ,in the midst of the crowd we proceeded to our seat which was already reserved for us with our vip card.

All of us had our card with us so we went inside to sit down , the service was already on so we participated immediately So we had lots of congregational hymns and several prayers we then proceeded to greet the bereaved family which were already seated , we were escorted by some heavy bodied security men and women we took some shots together and went back to our seat , we had lots of dignitaries in attendance ranging from top officials of the Nigerian immigration services, chairman of Nsit ubium LGA of Akwa ibom state with his entourage etc just to mention a few , After several hymns ,they came the word of God by one of the officiating minister in the person of Rev'd M .E.Isaiah .

                  THE WORD

Though he was very brief , he talked about the need for us as Christians to live a fruitful and productive life here on earth,always abiding in the word of truth just like our beloved father , grand pa etc Elder udoudom had lived during his times on earth before his demise . stresses the need to fulfill Gods plan and purpose on earth ,He talked about building good legacies just like the deceased had built for himself that explained why people come from far and near just to honour him.He also talked about various good works he's done while alive ,he was full of love and compassion ,kindness and care .it was a brief and very impactful sermon after which d sermon was rounded up and the people proceeded to the grave yard for final interment.

It was a well organised service with different vendors at their duty post , so much accuracy.so we relaxed on our seats as we were duly served like vips , we had so much to eat and drink ranging from cocktaiLs and different other drinks, we had so much to eat ,assorted meals.

After eating we had to relax for a while before hitting the road again.we were given our take home packs .

These was what was in my take home pack.what a great event ,we proceeded to our bus so we can start heading back to uyo so we started entering our bus ,i sat in the same position ,as we were heading back,the routes seems very different i guess it wasn't the same route because it was very fast , in no time we arrived uyo and people st arted dropping off on the way , i was incharge of the bus so i ensure everyone's safety ,that was done perfectly well , i was the last person on the bus with the driver so i asked him to drop me where i can access vehicle i needed to pick my kids from church.
They were already done with their saturday activities and they had fun with different activities.

After picking them up we headed back home so we can prepare dinner and also prepare ourselves for sunday service ,i had to wait for some minutes for them to round up but that didn't take long.
Evening hours

I came back home with so much work to be done ,i had to distribute it among the children while i left for the market, i needed to buy ingredients to prepare afang soup. So i got these plenty crayfish and dry fish,

Waterleaf
Periwinkle
Palm oil
Seasoning cubes
Salt
Cow skin
Pepper i love fresh pepper
Stock fish and chicken etc. When i came back , i boiled my stock fish and dry fish together then in another pot , i boil my chicken ,sauce it with blended pepper, ginger and garlic i added seasoning cubes ,when my chicken was ready i took it off ,in a pot i added my already washed ans sliced waterleaf , added palm oil and crayfish allow it cook for a while before adding my stock fish and fish and other stuff then i allow it cook for 3 mins then i add my chicken within seconds i added my blended afang ,after few seconds my delicious Afang soup was ready and served with cassava swallow .
We all eat and it was so yummy.thats how my Saturday went,i spent it judiciously .
