RE: Dress to Impress

Thank you! This is a very helpful and impressive piece.

It got me wondering a lot. This is not my first time hearing something about dressing nicely not only when meeting someone, but also on a regular basis.

I am one of the few people who have a very bad habit of not caring about what I look like when I get out of the house. While I am working on it, I understand its nothing good because many people judge people on the first impression. In the first 60 seconds of meeting and they have already done their analysis and shelved you to a specific group. which grou you want to belong to? You can choose that by how you dress!

I remember one of my internship supervisors used to tell us that the first thing someone looks at when you meet is the shoe. I would argue and dispute her, but I later started monitoring what I would do first when I meet someone. Guess what, I found myself looking at their shoes all the time. As a result, I learnt my lesson.

I agree with you, a lot. We should all know and learn that there is nothing wrong with dressing and smelling nice, even grooming your self. This will improve how people see you, when you meet for the first time, or even in the community you live. You will even notice with the kind of greetings you get when walking around dressed nicely.

Not only this, but dressing and smelling well can also give you a very big boost in self esteem and confidence. Now, thats too good!
