SLC-S29/W5-“Thinking and Ideas!| Ideas That Failed (and Why)!”
Hello, everyone. On this occasion, I would like to participate in the Steemit challenge with the theme SLC-S29/W5—“Thinking and Ideas! | Ideas That Failed (and Why)!” This week's theme is truly interesting and beautiful. I hope you all can participate in this challenge. I would also like to thank the organizers.
Describe an idea, plan, or decision (yours or someone else’s) that failed.
Talking about ideas or plans is something that everyone has in life regarding their future goals behind the ideas and plans they have made. I once heard about someone's idea or decision to carry out a project. He took the initiative independently and made plans with confidence.
He relied on his initial enthusiasm to decide to start even without adequate guidance or a team, and he did not see the long-term plan for the idea that had been determined. Without setting clear work stages from the start of the plan to carry out the project or his new initiative independently, he only imitated successful concepts from other places without adjusting the context.
What was the original intention behind it?
The initial goal behind the video and the plan that had been decided upon was to achieve tangible success in a short period of time. Not only that, but he also wanted to build a reputation and maximum self-confidence and success.
Some other goals were to develop skills and enhance personal experience with the concept of the idea being implemented from a new initiative. He also saw this as one of the benefits and opportunities that seemed truly promising for success. And the final goal was to prove that what had been decided could be implemented as well as possible.
Why do you think it failed?
There were many failures in his plans to carry out a new project or initiative. His planning failed because the project he wanted to carry out was too general and lacked detail. He also did not do enough preliminary research and analysis of the field conditions, which should have been the main focus at the earliest stage of planning. Then he had overly high expectations for results that were not at all certain to be achieved, such as wanting success in a short period of time, then wanting to gain personal experience and benefits from opportunities that he thought would promise results.
There are also many other reasons, such as inconsistent time management and insufficient resources, such as time, energy, and costs, to carry out the plans that have been made. A lack of discipline in executing plans is also a cause of failure in the initiatives that are to be carried out. Then, he does not have clear outcome indicators for the project being carried out. He realizes mistakes too late or acts too quickly without conducting an evaluation first, which not only causes mistakes but also losses that ultimately cause his plan to fail. And lastly, there is a lack of support or input from others who could make the plan more accurate.
What would you do differently if given another chance?
If I were given that opportunity myself, the most important thing I would do is to take as much time as possible to think about plans or ideas before moving on to the next stage. This is because, in my opinion, formulating a plan is more difficult and more important than executing a decision that has already been made. We need to think more deeply about the plans and decisions we want to make, consider the risks, think about the advantages and disadvantages, and weigh the pros and cons with a clear mind in order to make a good decision.
Then, when I want to plan something, of course, before implementing it, I will consider it first and accept suggestions or input from others that may be useful and lead the plan to success. If I cannot find advice from others, I will try to observe and study the planning steps of others and, if necessary, meet with that person to gain deeper knowledge. That way, I will not rush into executing a plan, and with my experience, knowledge, and careful consideration, I can achieve maximum success.
Thank you to everyone who participated in my event.
I would like to invite @suboohi, @uzma4882, and @wilmer1988.

Hi @cymolan, welcome to thinking and ideas week 5
He had already laid hope foundations instead of the actual things he needed for the success of the project. I believe if had used same hope energy to research, it would be a positive result.
I am sure lessons are learned already.
