Hello steemians in Nigeria and around the World, I do believe it has been a lovely ride in this season 2 of the steemit engagement challenge. Now we are in the last week of the season and I want to thank in a special way the moderators and admin of this community for great contest topics as always. This week’s topic was nothing less than the best giving us an opportunity to share our ideas to the growth of steemit.

Steemit as we all know is an online blockchain platform that reward users for creating contents. It was created right back in 2016 and has ever since had tremendous growth. My country Cameroon launched its community in late 2020, meaning it’s just over 1 year.
I am from Cameroon and Cameroon has a total population of over 25 million persons all over the country. Now, @steem-cameroon community has just over 2,123 subscribers. If we are to do a little mathematical calculation here, you will see that just about 0.0079% of Cameroonian are into steemit. And this 0.0079% can all be found in the North west region of the country.
This makes steemit to be massively unaware in my country. With this statistic above, I strongly think and do recommend that my country Cameroon does need increase publicity. I will discuss in the next paragraphs some of the ways in which I believe steemit can be publicize in my country.
I am a very big fan of steemit platform from day one, and I do think the following steps will help promote steemit in my community.
INCREASE MEDIA SENSITIZATION.
One of the things I discovered really early about steemit in my country was that there was really low and poor sensitization about steemit. This accounted for why the country has low number of subscribers. I already started a media tour last year with the then CR and then he withdrew from steemit. I do think increase media sensitization will be helpful. Not only the Facebook, Twitter or Instagram kind of campaign. I mean radio and television, paying visits to radio and Tv stations to talk about steemit. I am presently in thoughts with @chiabertrand on this. I believe with increase media presence of steemit, things will be better.LAUNCH OF A STEEMIT LITERACY CENTER.
One of the difficulties about steemit is that we go about recruiting persons into steemit and lack the capacity to effectively train them. This is also a project that I with some other esteem steemians in my country want to embark on. Providing a center to train and coach new steemians. I believe with the right coaching and training we will multiply. We need Pro steemians not just amateurs.ROAD AND CAMPUS CAMPAIGN.
I do also believe that as part of the strategy to promote steemit in my country, we can also increase our sensitization campaign. Do road side campaigns and on campus campaigns, this will be targeting mostly students of higher institutions. I believe there is a ready market for steemit on the campus. This sensitization campaign will take place all over the national territory and not just in Bamenda which is the main stronghood of steemit.SEMINARS AND WORKSHOP TO PROMOTE STEEMIT.
I have attended seminars and workshops; I can tell you they are very effectives. I became the person I am through seminars. I know that organizing seminars will be a great way for promotion. Workshops and seminars will be organized all over the national territories. These seminars should mainly be for recruiting of persons into steemit and the main target will be out of Bamenda. I do believe doing this in our different countries will be an addition to steemit.INTRODUCING NETWORK MARKETING STRATEGIES.
When I joined steemit, my very first reward which was 5 steem was gotten through a contest rewarding steemians who had recruited steemians. In that 3 first month I recruited over 20 steemians. I believe introducing a method of rewarding steemians for recruiting steemians will be an added advantage. I do have a plan already on this project and it will be launched soonest.CHARITY.
Charity is just one of the ways to get into the hearts of people. When people know you are into steemit and helping people, it makes them draw closer to you. I believe projects like the World Smile projects can be extended to countries like mine. This will increase the number of persons interested in steemit.INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CRS AND MOD.
The effectiveness of a community lies in the hands of the leaders. The more the leaders, the more effective it is to run the community. I believe by increasing the number of CRs and MOD of every community, it will make it more effective to interact and monitor the progress of the country.
YES. I do honestly think that these the points listed above will go a long way to increase the adoption of steemit in my country. All the strategies above are ones I and my team plan on executing in the days ahead. I promise you, in one or two months you will see a different Cameroon.
- RECRUITING NEWBIES.
In this domain I can go on and on. I have been very active in recruiting people to the platform. I have recruited over 30 steemians, although just over 10 are active. I discovered that it was mostly due to the lack of coaching and training and so I decided on the steemit literacy center to help with this. SENSITIZATION.
I have also been very active in sensitizing the Cameroon population especially Bamenda about steemit. I have done a campus tour in the University of Bamenda and I have visited a radio station to talk about steemit. The pictures and link are below.

I immediately joined the club5050 initiative when it was launched sometime last year. The club status is a way of giving and reinvesting back to the community. I support every program that will help to promote and push the agenda of steemit ahead.
Steemit is an important platform to me. I have in this post proposed ways I believe will help promote the steemit platform. I know if these point are implemented by each of us, steemit will be a better place. I have also shared ways in which I think I have contributed to growth of steemit and I will keep doing that. Training is also a good idea to promote steem, because people lack this understanding about the platform but when they are being thought on all the aspect of steemit I think more people will sign up and be very active. You have actually written so well my dear friend and I wish you all the best.
Without a doubt the strategies you have listed to help promote Steemit is going to be effective.
I can see that you also have promotional activities yourself which is a positive thing because through you @ebuahsang1 a lot of people would know about Steemit.
I really like the steps you have taken to promote the steemit platform in front of people in different countries. And these I think are very effective. One of the things I like most about your initiative is that it would be great if a seminar could be organized for those who work here. The move was really good.
Your ideas of promoting Steemit will be advantageous to the platform, I see a lot of new users onboarding to the platform through your promotional work, you have promoted well in the past and I believe you can do more to reach a wide range of people in Cameroon

Yes it is true. Road and campus campaign will go a long way to share more information about the steemit platform. Especially on the road, you get tp see and talk to many people about the platform and that is a good way to promote the steemit platform. Great job.
