You are struggling to hustle, sweat, sacrifice your own comfort just to help a person which you believe that he'll appreciate you later. You carry your last cash give it to him, stand with him when everybody run, even risk your own reputation just to make sure that the person won't fall. But at the end, it's that same person which chooses to turn back and stab you, act like you didn't do anything, even talk bad about you. Sometimes these moment can be much painful than heartbreak. You can even ask yourself: “So I'm the stupid one which believe that gratitude still exists in this world?”.

So let's see, what name can we give to such person that brings about this scenario...!!!

The name to the above person that brought the scene is an Ingrate. So For my own understanding, ingrate is a person which don't appreciate good things which people do for him or her. Ingrate can be friend, family, colleague, or even stranger. Ingrate is simply a person which will collect help from you, but instead of appreciation, he or she will insult or betray you.

An ingrate doesn't remember yesterday. If you give him food in times of hunger, tomorrow he will still say that you are stingy. If you help him find a job, tomorrow he can say you wanted to control him. Ingrate do act like your effort is nothing.

These set of people thier heart is hard like stone. No matter what you do, appreciation will not be inside.

Yes o, I have met an ingrate before. Let me share the story.

Four years ago there was a guy in my area. Which was my closest friend that time. The guy always complain that life is very hard, that nobody agreed to help him, even his rich relatives. I looked him with pity. I let him partner with me in my small hustle, showed him how to make small money from the business. I even borrow him my own personal money which I suppose to invest in my own business.

At first, the guy acted grateful. But later, he begin to gossip me at the back. I was passing by he didn't notice, he was busy telling people that I am using him to make my own money and that I am oppressing him. Imagine that! Someone i carried for back, it's him that drag me for mud. When I heard these, my body weaken. I didn't believe that it's the same person which I sacrifice for.

That day I learn that ingrate is everywhere, and sometimes it's the people which you trust more will be the victim.

The lesson which I learn is that:

• Not everybody deserve my sacrifice. Some people don't have the capacity to appreciate.

• Help with wisdom. It's not every cry I suppose to answer. Sometimes, I'll need to weigh the matter before i jump inside.

• Expect nothing. If I want to help, I should help with a pure heart , not because I expect thank you.

• Protect my peace. If a person show me signs that he's not a fan of appreciation, i should respect myself and hold my peace. Not to kill myself for someone that doesn't care.

Truly that experience really open my eye. I realize that gratitude is not in everybody's blood. Some people are wired to forget good.

Yes, I will still do good. Why? Because if I stop doing good because of one ingrate, I'll be the one to lose. Life is balance. For every ingrate that betray you, there are grateful people which will appreciate you.

If i stop helping, I might block blessings which could have come my way. Sometimes, it's the same good which you do for stranger can open door for you tomorrow.

So I have decided to still do good to others. But this time, I'll add more wisdom. I'll help within my limit. However I will just help because its my nature and from my heart, not just because I am expecting anything back.

Therefore,Ingrate can break your heart, but it can't change your destiny. If you stop doing good, you are cheating yourself. Gratitude is rare, but it still exists. And when you meet a person which will appreciate you, the joy can cover all the pain which ingrate cause you.

So in all these life is full of ingrate people, but it doesn't mean that we will stop being good. Ingrate it's a reminder that human beings is just complicated. But gratitude is really sweet, and it heals. So let's help with wisdom, expect nothing, and not to allow ingrate change your good heart. Because at the end, it's God that will reward, not man.
