MY ORDEAL IN THE ADVENT OF CASHLESS POLICY IN NIGERIA

As a businessman, I was in need of physical cash to transact my business urgently. I moved from one Point of Sale (POS) to another till I eventually came to one. As I was moving from one POS to another along the street on day one (1), I was accosted by a man who dressed like a man different from my tribe, with an accent of a person from the tribe I respected so much in Nigeria. This man introduced himself as Mr. Zee to me and demanded to know from me what my problem was. I told Mr. Zee that I needed physical cash urgently for my business.
Mr. Zee at that point put a call through to someone. At the end of the call he then told me that the person he had conversation with on phone was a POS operator and that he assured him that he would make available to me the said physical cash.
After accepting what he told me, Mr. Zee gave me an account number domiciled with a bank to which I transferred using my Mobile Bank App the sum I needed as well as the POS service charge.
After the transfer, Mr. Zee again made call allegedly to the POS operator and at the end of the call he told me that it will take a little time for the POS operator to arrive with the physical cash as his place of business was a little far from where we were.
Time got dragged on till about 7pm and was getting dark. At this point I could not wait again as it was getting dark and I considered it very risky to collect physical cash of such amount in the presence of a man I never knew before then. We both exchanged phone numbers and I told Mr. Zee that I would meet with him the next day (day two) in the morning for the physical cash.
The following day (day two) I returned to our meeting point as I had earlier agreed with Mr. Zee, but before I arrived he had put a call to me informing me about his coming. Mr. Zee then directed me to a certain spot closed to our meeting point of the previous day, and promised me that he had arrived earlier on with the POS operator and with my physical cash.
On arrival, I stopped at the location Mr. Zee had told me, few minutes later, Mr. Zee appeared with the supposed POS operator. While Mr. Zee entered the front seat of my car, the supposed POS operator took the back seat and immediately pointed a gun at me from the back while Mr. Zee handed over to me the same bank account number he had previously given to me the previous day, and which I earlier transferred the sum of the physical cash I needed into.
The supposed Point of Sale operator then ordered me to comply immediately or stand to have my head blown off. Afraid, I transferred another huge amount into the said account as directed.
The fraudster waited in the car with me inside to get alert message that the transfer was successful, but that was not to be as the amount reverted to my account. On realizing this, the fraudster immediately handed over another bank account number domiciled with a bank to me and ordered me to retransfer the same amount and I did. On getting the alert message that the transfer was successful this time, the fraudster then jumped out of the car into an awaiting Tricycle who sped off with the fraudster.
Thereafter, I went to my lawyer who then took up some legal measures to recover my money, but up until now, no amount of money has been recovered.
What could I have done wrong? Was it that I was desperate ir was charmed as some alleged?
Your advice can console me and also serve as precaution measures to others.
