How do you want Steemit to be if asked
What 3 things do you like about Steemit Social Media Platform? Give reasons why you do.
The Diary Game & community contests: Steemit is great at turning your everyday life into a communal adventure. Through features such as The Diary Game you're brought into a wonderfully friendly community where documenting something as simple as your day (whether it's hiking in local parks or fixing your car) is instantly recognized by and shared with a worldwide community.
The proof-of-brain concept: Unlike any other network, instead of the platform owning and controlling all of your content's profits, your contributions will always benefit you directly. By building up a decentralized network where all of the content is owned and supported by its users, the idea of earning for authentic writing and valuable input translates directly into a monetary crypto token that you are able to spend or sell (STEEM/SBD).
Web3 gaming interface: With its seamless ability to interact with many dApps on Web3 Steemit truly feels like you have the best of both social networking and gaming worlds combined. In fact you can even log into the Web3 games such asCur8's Survivor Arenas or Merge Tower Defense with your Steem posting key and start playing.
If you asked how you would want Steemit to be or change to, what 3 things would they be?
A polished and well-developed mobile app: Steemit is badly lacking in the mobile app area and really needs a beautifully crafted, and highly optimized mobile app. The Steemit platform at the moment feels more like it's best used for desktop posting and navigating, but for casual everyday users and social engagement on the go a modern, responsive, and easy to use mobile app would streamline the process of both posting and upvoting content infinitely.
Simplified and efficient account recovery/security: While it's a great idea in concept, the cryptographic keys used for Steemit are absolutely overwhelming to a user who is not technically inclined, leading to people being locked out of their accounts forever. It would be wonderful if there were a system in place for simplified account recovery, and a more intuitive security system where users didn't feel like they were managing extremely high stakes credentials in their every day lives.
Better and easier Fiat off-ramps: The only thing that could really hurt Steemit is its inability to provide simple off-ramps for fiat transactions from the Wallet. While it is of course understandable to be cautious in this area, it is currently a lot of work to be able to get the money earned on the platform directly into your bank account in most regions. Adding an interface to directly off-ramp money peer-to-peer would attract a large segment of the world's population that uses Steemit regularly but is unable to capitalize fully on their earnings.
What one thing do you think can be done on Steemit to prevent any case of injustices or favouritism?
The easiest and most effective way to eliminate favoritism on the Steemit platform and combat voting rings is to implement a blind, decentralized peer review system that takes place before content is public-ally curated. A newly posted piece of content could be anonymously pushed to a rotating community, and before that post would ever gain any visibility to any curators that already have their set voting groups, it could be judged for its quality and validity by an impartial group of community members, without being able to see the identity of the poster. The votes of these "blind" curators would be more heavily weighted before their content ever hit public view, ensuring only good content made it through the process fairly.
If I'm having an issue with you and you're a curator, will you vote on my post? Give reasons.
If we were friends and had a personal disagreement, yes I would still absolutely upvote your post. Being a curator on Steemit comes with a great responsibility to support good content, regardless of personal feelings or animosity towards the user it was written by. A curator's job is not to become some type of morality police that decides who deserves content support and who does not based on their personal lives, but to rather support quality writing that benefits the Steemit ecosystem, and by not supporting someone simply based on a personal issue, a curator is essentially silencing a voice within the decentralized network. Good content deserves the support, and a great curator makes sure to look past petty grievances.
